Beinlich's Tree Care

Have been using Beinlich's for years. This year they decided to not show up. I called twice when bud break came and my trees needed treatment. Both times disinterested office staff told me someone would be out that week. No one ever showed up! I asked for a refund and it was clear they couldn't care less about me as a customer or my trees. Last year when talking to an arborist I was treated coldly and dismissively. I am done with them. Bye-bye Beinlich. You suck.

Joe Phillips- arborist- was a pleasure to work with, taught me lots about whole yard trees, bushes, etc.  Will have them prune a few trees, already have come back to deep fertilize trees, and bushes, and will treat with anti parasite/antifungals at appropriate times.  Were very good about follow up feedback and plan to use them again.

They were great. They were just very good. Their price was just the same as everybody else's. They were very responsive.

They were prompt about fertilizing and other treatments of trees.  Expensive pruning, but had them do some of it on some years.  This latest incident with a dying ash tree, and feeling like they were just too happy to continue to do expensive treatments without so much as a phone call after promising to do so, is evidence enough for me of a lack of ethics.  There are plenty of tree services that I expect will talk to me.

Update 3/2015:  I was contacted by them, very apologetic and spoke on phone quite a while with me.  Came out to see tree, and we agreed to tentatively plan on retreatments, but after spring budding eval, may alter recommendation.  Most importantly, they took the time to speak to me and understand my issue.  I don't want to keep pouring money and time into a diseased tree that has a high liklihood of failing anyway.  Yes, it is a grey issue, but I will rely on their expertise. I am fully satisfied with their response now.

They met me at our new house to give an estimate for trimming several large trees on our property. They were methodical in their estimate, and explained the process without being pushy. When I declined a fertilizing service recommendation, I was not hounded over my decision. Not only did they give a very fair price, with a modest discount thanks to mailer I received, they also went above and beyond by trimming a few smaller limbs and branches from other trees on our property at no charge. They cleaned up after themselves and did a fantastic job. Overall, a great experience.

No estimate was received and no service performed. I did not appreciate waiting around for someone who did not show up or call. I would recommend calling someone else.

Beinlich provided a quote the day after my request and performed the work the day after I accepted the proposal. They performed the work quickly and professionally, completely cleaning the area when they were done.

Overall, it well. They have been in business for many years and they are very reliable.

They were professional and the communication was good. We had a lot of storms and there were a lot of downed trees so they couldn't get to me when I needed it.

Beinlich's was responsive in delivering a very competitive offer and doing an initial inspection. I called after receiving the proposal to get their advertised discount which they honored. They came as scheduled, although they did not call ahead as I had instructed. I did speak to them to discuss some details as which plants, trees and shrubs needed the applications. After I called about the bio-stimulant application, they indicated that will come back in a month to apply it.

Joe gave us an estimate the day we called but was not able to schedule the work until a week or so later, as they were responding to storm damage work and ours was just maintenance. We did not obtain bids as Beinlich had previously performed emergency work for us when a neighbor's tree fell in our yard and they did an excellent job at that time.

Unfortunately the neighbor came out and had one of her tantrums and managed to intimidate the crew--which therefore did not perform some of the planned final cuts on her tree that would have been better for its health. Also, due to her screaming and threats to call the police, they refused to do any cutting on the jointly-owed ash tree in the backyard that a bird planted many years ago on the fence line. Since there are some limbs that overhang and threaten our power line, I will have to call another service to finish the job and take more time off work. PS--you forgot to ask how long I had to wait to get service. It was 4 weeks. Therefore unless my neighbor moves, I won't use Beinlich's again. Don't hire them if you have bad neighbor problems--they are too timid, even when the law is being followed. Yes, neighbor called police, but when I explained that the workman had only stepped in neighbor's yard to remove debris, he shrugged, sympathized with my problem, and went away.
