Definitely we'll keep him as a regular maintenance person

On a -2-degree day, I noticed that my house felt oddly chilly. The furnace was running, but the temperature kept dropping. Removing the cover and looking in the sight glass revealed that there was no flame - the furnace was just blowing rapidly-cooling air around the house.
After sitting on hold for 40 minutes with our home warranty company, then having HVAC companies tell me they couldn't get to me for 2-3 days, I reached out to some friends and got an immediate, enthusiastic recommendation to call Raymond at Heat Leaders. Ray picked up the phone right away and, after hearing about the problem I was having, told me he'd be there in 2 hours.
1.5 hours later, I received a text: "On my way." He arrived right on time, opened the furnace up, checked some things, and promptly diagnosed the issue: my hardcore micro allergen filters were suffocating the furnace, causing it to overheat (I had no idea this could happen, though a web search revealed that it's a common problem). He removed the offending filter, reset the overheat limiter, showed me how to do this myself in the future, then stuck around while the house came back to a decent temp to make sure there weren't any underlying issues that might cause the limiter to trip again.
Ray was a wealth of information, offered great advice, happily taught me how to do some basic furnace maintenance myself, and charged a very fair rate (standard flat fee for the visit + an hour of labor). From now on, he's my HVAC guy.
