Thus so far, considering that it was a major renovation, this was the best experience I have had working with a contractor. I decided to contact many contractors and basically had a check list with my expectations. I scheduled an appointment with Lucas and he was on time, and basically waited an additional 30 minutes since the previous contractor was late and over extended the appointment. Lucas was professional and waited patiently and answered all questions with his expertise and knowledge without being offended. The proposal was sent within a couple of days and considering the price he came close to one other contractor. After a 2nd phase of decision making, I selected Chicago Masonry and Development. I agree with reading reviews, because I usually don't like to write reviews and basically read what other peoples experiences have been. This time around, I had to make this a priority and wanted to share this experience with other people that may be looking to hire a masonry contractor. Basically, what won me over was the fact that he passed with flying colors. I asked for references, I got them, I asked for pictures of his work, I got them, I asked for insurance proof and I got it. Lucas gave me a very competive price and most of all proved his worth with the quality work that he provided. As a homeowner, what could have been a scary experience of seeing a scaffold installed in front of my house, my building being teared off, in highly busy neighborhood in Wicker Park turned to be a very positive experience. Lucas was always in control of the job/his workers and had impeccable time management.

The quotation process went well. I did receive quotes of lower cost but they did not include all the work I requested so I went with Chicago Masonry. The workers arrived on time and completed the work with good quality and acted professionally. I was very satisfied with their work.

Chicago Masonry and Development Inc. Company provides very good quality work. They take pride in what they do, especially on their masonry and brick work. I couldn’t have been happier with their work and their responsiveness. The ideas they gave were really good. I would definitely use them in the future.

We really liked working with Chicago Masonry. They helped us through the design process. Former walked through the area of work and reviewed the expectations of the project up front. He was on time for all appointments, clearly explained all of the stone, brick and design options available to us, and completed the work on schedule and budget. We love the end result; we have a beautiful front facade and this looks like completely new building. We wanted to change the lintels (and tuck-point )on the front of our house but he propose to us completely rebuild. He gave us best advice ever .We spend a little more but that job was worth this money. Instead of old building tuck-pointed old bricks and old look we have almost new house. I would highly recommend Chicago Masonry to other customers because they are very honest and nice guys with a lot of experience.Very professional and did a fantastic job. Checked in with us a few weeks after work was completed to make sure we were satisfied. Which of course, we are!

Mike came out gave a reasonable quote and time frame and was as promised.

The other recommended bidders for my project they didn’t tell me any suggestions only the listened and gave me a price. Mike was different he came and told us about some things We would never know about our project. Chicago Masonry was very professional and did a fantastic job. He also let us know the work times for his team. This project took 7 days and the result was excellent. At end of project, MIKE walked through the entire project with us to view all work performed. All of our questions were answered. The entire project was handled very professionally. Chicago Masonry was not the most inexpensive estimate we obtained, but we feel we received value for what was performed and were very pleased with their professionalism, detailed estimate proposal and availability for questions.

CHICAGO MASONRY AND DEVELOPMENT DID A BEAUTIFUL JOB. QUALITY AND PROFESSIONALISM OF THEIR WORK EXCEEDED OUR EXPECTATIONS. WE WANTED CAREFUL ATTENTION IN REPAIRING THE BRICK AND LIMESTONE. FOR THIS REASON, WE WERE LOOKING FOR THE HIGHEST QUALITY WORK. WE GOT SEVERAL BIDS. WALTER EXPLAINED US EVERYTHING STEP BY STEP. THEY WERE PROMPT, ALWAYS PROFESSIONAL, AND VERY CLEAN. THEY DID AN EXCELLENT JOB, AND WE WILL CERTAINLY RECOMMEND THEM AND USE THEM AGAIN.

They did a good, professional and timely work. Everything went per our agreement.
