After having the lift for a season or so, it was starting to bend out of shape from just lifting the car as it should. When I took it back, the owner Steve Naples accused me of driving over it with my car but reluctantly agreed to fix it. Upon arriving to pick up the lift after repair, I found that it was welded in most of the locations where bolts used to be located, so that I could not service parts of the lift in the future.
After reviewing the response from Hole in One Motorsports, the owner made it sound like he gave me a new lift but the fact is that he had it repaired to the point that it can't be disassembled for maintenance, due to welds being placed where the bolts once were holding it together. The lift is now starting to warp out of shape again from normal use.
Notice how Mr. Naples said he reluctantly agreed to have it fixed. It was this reluctance and him accusing me of driving over it with my car which prompted the poor review. Not to mention the quality of the welded repair work. I was less than happy due to his lack of professionalism in the matter.
"These car lifts are not built by Hole in One Motor Sports. They are built and serviced by an outside vendor, with no warranty, expressed or written. They cost me $550.00 to have built, and I sell them for $600.00. I still have the original demo lift in service today. We lift the car and driver at the same time with these lifts. These lifts are sold at a fair price, and built to last. After the customer used the lift for in his words, a season or so, I reluctantly agreed to have it fixed, because I couldn't believe it was bent in the way that it was. That is why I asked him if he ran it over with his car. I raced Super Cups with this guy, so at my expense, after a season or so of use, I sent it out for repair. I paid for the repair, and I returned the lift to the customer. This customer came to Hole in One Motor Sports, and left with his new car lift, happy. He picked up the car lift back in 2009, after I sent it out for repair after a season or so of use, happy. I just think it's funny that he waits until the end of 2011 to slam Hole in One Motor Sports, and promote his friend here on Angies List. Why didn't he go to his friend in the first place? Hole in One Motor Sports is a real full service store with 7000 sq ft of space. We have a show room full of cars, new and used. We have a service department fully equipped with scales, Dyno, and Flow bench. We have a parts department, fully stocked with all the parts you'll need to fix your Super Cup. All this on just the first floor, with two more floors under construction. We are not just a garage in some guys’ back yard. We are dedicated to the Super Cup customer, and the sport. I'm sorry this customer is not happy, and doesn't like me personally. Hole in One Motor Sports did what they were supposed to do, and did it well. Don't believe the haters, come on out and see for yourself."
