John is CONSCIENTIOUS and professional. No short cuts, which may make him a bit more expensive (but yet reasonable) than the run of the mill guy,
I had ordered the wrong style vanity with drawers that got in the way of the plumbing underneath the sink. John modified one of the drawers and the center support in order for this vanity to work . . . . and it does - even the modified drawer closes smoothly. A second man, a partner, came along to help with the bathroom remodeling and take care of all the small handyman jobs on my list.
My new bathroom is gorgeous and gleaming and everything works. All the annoying little things around the house that were broken and needed repairs are now working again.
Used The Dugan Co. (TDCI) (John Dugan) again. -- this time for a large redecorating project. Large living room/dining room (approx.. 600sq.ft.). Rooms were wall papered and we wanted the paper removed (a huge job for John and his partner Frank of FZ
Sales) and the walls and ceiling painted.
Walls were repaired as necessary after wallpaper removal. Wall to wall carpet removed and not replaced. John and his partner (Frank) removed carpeting, padding ? bundled and taken to our alley for Village removal. There were beautiful hard wood floors
underneath, and John make a threshold for the 2 entrances to the rooms to transition from the halls? hardwood flooring.
And they did some repair work on the perimeter of the hardwood floor.
Ceiling and walls painted in den/office ? approx. 250 sq ft. A 55? Plasma TV (9 years old and weighing about 100 lbs) had to be removed from the top of a 9 foot wall and rehung.
Ceiling and walls painted in bedroom ? approx. 150 sq ft.
Under cabinet lighting replaced by John?s partner Frank in kitchen.
We are retired folks and were living in our home during the 2 weeks they were here. They could not
have been nicer to work with. They both were as accommodating to us as you could hope.
John is fair in his pricing and very thorough ? not to mention a genuine good guy.
John teams up with Frank of FZ Sales and Services when necessary and the price shown for this job includes time and materials for both John and Frank.
As a post script, we have been in this home for 38 years and have a lot of stuff. As older folks we cannot do much furniture moving. They had a lot of stuff to move and work around -- including us!
John is very conscientious and very fair in his pricing. His work is also done on a timely basis.
We are very satisfied with his work and will soon have him repaint our living room, dining room, office and bedroom. Can't give a better recommendation than that.
