The workers were accommodation and they also replaced gutters. They went out of their way to add mesh to my gutters. I would have them back in a heart beat. Quality workmanship but the accounting department; i can NOT rate their accounting department as highly. There were just a few/several minor inconveniences on behalf of the accounting.

I could not be happier. I took this company through a rigorous vetting process; they answered dozens of questions for me, and with a smile. Greg Wolff, the sales engineer, was extremely detail oriented and patient with me. His team did a great job with every aspect of the project. We are very happy and highly recommend them for roofing projects, large or small.

Drew Stauffer made appointment to inspect the job approx 3 work days after request made through Angie's list. Quote was provided that evening. After 2 weeks of seeking and reviewing additional quotes, decided to go with Local and signed contract. Drew provided samples to choose from in a couple of days. Crew showed up a week later and finished job in about 1-1/2 days. Drew and crew lead (Mike) were knowledgeable and friendly. They took time to answer my questions at any time during the process.

From my first call to Local Roofing to the completed work, it took less than two days. The estimate was provided promptly and professionally. The estimator took cell phone pictures of the problem areas on the roof that were supposed to have repaired previously and shared them with me. He brought shingle samples so I could select the closest match to the existing shingles. Work was completed the next day by their technicians, including a water test to ensure the leak had been repaired.

It went very well,tear off instalation and cleanup.

Discovered roof was leaking during recent rain.  Called Local Roofing and explained situation and that I would like it repaired before rain predicted for the next weekend.  They promptly scheduled an estimate, explained what was needed, scheduled the work and completed it before the weekend.  They also pointed out that the leak near the chimney may be due to need for tuck-pointing.  When it rained, the roof near the family room wall was fine, but there was still some leaking around chimney.  I called and they immediately sent someone over, even though it was still raining.  He verified that the remaining problem was due to the chimney, and caulked the spaces between the bricks so it would hold until I could schedule a later repair by a tuck-pointer (probably in the spring).  So far so good.
All in all I think Local Roofing did a very good job, were straight with me, and were very professional.  I also thought they charged a fair price for the work.   I would not hesitate use them again for any roofing-related work.

They came right out and did the work immediately. The work was perfect. They were friendly, the price was great and I have not had one issue with the roof. It was even during the holiday and they were still johnny on the spot! Very impressed with the work.

I needed to have an attic fan installed due to excessive heat on the second level of my home and have a vent with a bee hive in it replaced.  Local Roofing was quick to respond and performed the service quickly and at a high degree of quality.  I was pleased with their work and am now happy to have a roofing contact in case of problems.  
My only concern is cost.  They have a minimum charge for any work, which would be high if you are having something minor done.  I wouldn't’t hesitate to use them due to the quality, especially if it is something bigger than a broken shingle.

I had done work for Drew on his house several years ago, and I kept his contact info as I knew down the road I would need to get mine done.  I had been receiving other quotes, some quite high.  The quote I received from Drew was right about what I had hoped for, and I did not feel the need to try to negotiate.  That I really appreciated.
The weather was cooperating and I had the roof done on Nov. 20.  His crew had to finish up a job from the week earlier and Drew confirmed with me on the weekend that Monday was out, and that they would be on time the next morning.  Sure enough, Drew was there with one of his best crews and they went to work.  
The finished product seems to be great - excellent straight lines and details looked after.  One thing that really stands out is the time at the end of the project to clean up so well.  Its something a lot of companies miss, and even though they were beat, the guys on the job really cared.  Superb job so far.  They are coming back to do a small roof on a three seasons room that needs to be rebuilt.  Again, they are going out of their way to accommodate my needs at no additional cost.  Well done Drew and Co.

The entire experience was excellent from estimation to completion.   Craig, the salesman for the company, listened very carefully and provided an accurate estimate for work.  Additionally, he provided options and made recommendations based on his 20 years in the business.  I actually had three "Angie's List" companies bid on the project and they all were professional.  What set Local roofing apart for me was the company has been in business for over 40 years and is local (Gurnee) so I knew that they would be familiar with homes in my neighborhood in Grayslake.  Actually, they had done several roofing jobs and had references within the subdivision. 
After the last big storm in 2011, a number of "Storm Chaser" roofing companies from out-of-town aggressively went door-to-door selling their services to do insurance replacements.   The concern I had was if there was an issue with the work, they would be long gone when I tried to get a repair.  Local Roofing has a five year warranty on top of the manufacturer's warranty(Lifetime-GAF Architectural Shingles) and there is peace of mind knowing I can pick up the phone anytime if there is a problem.
The team showed up at 7am on the scheduled date and completed all work in one day.  They brought a dump truck so with the tear off everything went into it and rolled away by lunch.  Craig had taken the time to let me know I should take all the pictures off the walls so nothing was damaged due to vibration from installation work.(He provided a lot of tips and set my expectations correctly so there were no surprises)  The roofing team was a team of six workers that were under a foreman who managed that specific team all the time.  The foreman was very attentive to all details and directed the workers throughout the day so nothing was missed.  For example:

• 1. It was cool outside,  so some shingles were not laying flat. He had them take care of it even though they would have heated up and laid flat later. 
• 2. He also ensured that the weather sheathing went up six feet or more to ensure the porch overhang was protected where it met the house. 
• 3.They took extra care with the Satellite Dish on the roof.(no loss of service, which can happen)  They replaced roof vents and sealed all areas where corners met. 
• 4. All shingles got FIVE nails to be secure in high winds. 
• 5. The Cobra vent and Cap Shingles were installed carefully so they layered properly to be aesthetically pleasing

When the job was done I inspected the grass and area around the house and found no nails or tear off material.(not one nail!) Craig followed up twice to make sure everything was done well.   I was happy to let Local Roofing put up their sign for a week in my front yard.  Two neighbors are interested in using them next summer.
Craig brought out the Manufacturer's rep from GAF when the shingles were delivered, who proceeded to give me more information on the products which was very informative. 

Overall, I strongly recommend Local Roofing for roof replacement.  Ask for Craig, the salesman.

6/30/2013  UPDATE---Roof Looks Great, No leaks after several heavy storms.  Highly recommend this company for Roof Replacement Services. 

I found them on Angie's List. When I spoke to them I felt comfortable with them.

I found them on Angie's list. They did a good job in a timely manner. They were diligent about clean up and fair with pricing. Overall I was very satisfied with the work and will use them again.

I initially contacted the company in September and was not called back at all.  I called again due to a rec here on Angie's List, and was given the run-around on the phone for over a week before the guy even made an appointment to see what the job would be. We were given an estimate after another week, and the price was very good.  We accepted and mailed back the contract. When we hadn't heard back from them in a month, we called and were informed our contract had been received but was "misplaced" and they would come out the following week to do the work.  They showed up the morning the work was scheduled, did something on the roof, and left without ever coming inside to look in the attic, tell me they'd finished, or have me sign or pay for anything.  When they didn't come back later that day or the next to finish the job, I called to find out when the work would be completed. The worker was scheduled to come out on Friday the 18th but my schedule shifted and he called to say his job earlier in the day prevented him from coming that day.  Two weeks later, despite calling the company repeatedly, no one has come back to finish the job, and I still have not heard back from the man.  Meanwhile, the company has billed us.  We will be happy to pay them when the job is completed but at this rate, that will be a month or more from now.

I am deeply disappointed in the service from Local Roofing Co., and recommend that anyone looking for a roofer should search elsewhere. We were persuaded by the low pricing, but the service has not been worth it and I wish we'd chosen someone else.

All of my neighbors think my roof looks very good and I would highly recommend this company.

I feel that we saved at least 100,000 working with them. Since then we have used them for roofing issues.

They’ve done work in the past and I found their name through Angie’s List. Actually, the last time I called them, I never heard from them again. I had a good experience with them and they did a good job. They gave me a quote and fixed it quickly. There was nothing wrong overall and I would recommend them.

During a storm in late March with driving rain and hail. Water started t leak from the bathroom vent fan of a rental house.  I called Local Roofing Co., Inc in Gurnee, IL to please come soon and give me an estimate of damage and a quick quote. Kevin, I believe that's his name, came out quickly and gave me a quote and said it's not really that bad except for the shingles being ripped apart by some varmint that shredded the rubber boot around the vent pipe and scratched the roofing to the bare roof. he took pictrures of it since he knew I as to go out of town during the repairs. While I was away, his crew came and repaired what needed to be repaired and put new nails in parts of the ridge vent, which was partially affected. And as if that wasn't enough, he also went to my residence and inspected the roof and even did some caulking!  Now THAT is service!  They stuck to the quote and gave my wife the bill and she paid right away. Why not? It was a terrific, not horrific experience.

Local came out and gave me a free estimate. A couple days later they came out and completed the work.
