HARRY BARKER PAINTING & DECORATING

We hired Harry Barker to paint the exterior of our house including a screened-in porch. Unfortunately, Harry and his workers did such a horrible job that we had to fire them after a couple of days on the job. Harry and his crew used a spray gun and did not take any precautions to cover surfaces and plants. We had over-spray everywhere our screens, windows and window frames were sprayed, our cedar fence was sprayed, our AC unit was sprayed, our grill was sprayed, the speakers and ceiling fan inside the porch were sprayed, as well as the floor, not to mention our plants and firewood that was stored away from the house by the fence. Because Harry and his crew did not take the time to properly prepare the house, we also ended up with shrub branches and grass painted to the house. Additionally, we discovered that the paint and primer that were used were a different brand than promised. When we pointed out all the over-spray issues to Harry, he stated that we were nit-picking and he could not work with us! We ended up hiring another company to perform the job. It took hundreds of dollars and hours of work to replace and/or clean some of the items that were over sprayed. At this point, we are not able to replace some of the other items (such as the AC unit and storm doors). I would not recommend hiring this company as they perform very shoddy work.
