Everything went as they always do very friendly and prompt. You check in and about an hour to an hour and a half they go over everything with you as to what they did. If they see anything that might need attention they will discuss it with you and take care of it or make an appointment to take care of matter. This time they informed me the window wipers needed replaced and gave the price if I wanted them replaced. They always send me reminders for when one of our vehicles is due for tune ups.

They took the car and gave me a loaner. When we picked up the car they said keep it for a couple weeks then bring it back to be buffed. When we brought it back the service rep said the paint job was not done correctly and the tire had some discoloration. So we left the car for repair again. When we went back to pick up the car, the paint job had blisters along the passenger side. So we left the car again to be fixed. We demanded a Santa Fe to drive while the car was being fix as these problems were now 2 months old and we're getting frustrated at not having the $22K new vehicle we purchased. When we went back about a week ago to pick the car up again, the paint was spattered on the plastic, the bottom door plastic molding had about an 1/8th inch gap, paint or primer white shadowing was on the front passenger window. So we started getting concerned that the car was devalued because of all the work and requested service records on everything that had been done. I emailed Mark Strege asking for this information and found out from a lawyer I had a legal right to this information. Mark Strege sent a document that had nothing to do with the repairs and only covered the initial inspection. We requested the service information again when my wife went back to exchange the temporary Santa Fe they had loaned us. He did not have the information again. She called and he said he would provide the information if we gave him a fax. I called and tried to talk to Mark, but he would not take the call. I left a message with the fax number and my cell number but so far no fax with information. Called today again, asked for Mark, Abe the General Manager, Guy, anybody who could help. Nobody would respond. Talked to Jim who couldn't help either. Gurnee Hyundai delivered my new car with damage and documents prove the damage was known by the salesperson who sold us the car. The outbound inspection check list also checked everything EXCEPT the items that say, "checked for dents, scratches", etc. This was conspicuously left blank. Even though we have given them the opportunity to fix the car 3 times now they have failed. At this point in time they have the car. And I can get nobody to cooperate in getting me detailed information about exactly what has been done to my car in an attempt to fix it.

Our salesman, Brian Skeate, was very knowledgeable. They were very easy to deal with, but it was like all dealerships where we had to go back and forth. We both drew our lines in the sand, but nothing frustrating ever came up. I am very satisfied.
