During a kitchen remodel project, there developed a problem when the quartz counter tops were mis measured and installed.  The hole for the sink had been cut 1 1/2 inches off and they were unable to install the new faucet because an existing cast iron vent pipe was not taken into consideration when the counters were measured, and was now in the way of the installation of the new faucet.

My options were to have the quartz countertops removed and re-cut (which could have potentially damaged the new cabinets and would have taken an additional two weeks) or to have a plumber come in to completely re-configure the existing cast iron plumbing under the sink.  Neither option was ideal because of the potential damage to the new cabinetry, and the plumbing work was tricky because the space under the sink was especially tight now that the countertops and sinks were installed, and the plumbing is cast iron, and welded.

I called Henry Schroeder to assist and give me his professional advise.  He came that afternoon, withing 3 hours along with the GC to look at the problem.  We discussed the above mentioned options, and determined the quickest solution would be to go ahead with the plumbing work, despite the complicated issues surrounding that option.  Henry came back within two days of the decision and got to work on the problem immediately.  He started work at 8:45 am and completed the work by noon the same day. All work was done quickly and professionally without a scratch to any cabinet area, inside or out!  He was able to cut through the cast iron pipe, and reconfigure it without any issue, hook up the new sink, the new faucet and garbage disposal with the counter top air pump as well as the dishwasher!  PROBLEM SOLVED! and a very happy customer to have the brand new kitchen completed and ready to use!!!
