Warren Edwards Builders, Inc.
About us
Warren Edwards Builders has been in business for over 50 years, and we are proud to consistently provide quality workmanship and value, earning customer loyalty and an excellent reputation among our peers. We attribute our longevity to strong leadership, experienced employees, and knowledgeable subcontractors and suppliers. “WEBUILD” is short for Warren Edwards Builders, Inc. Warren Edwards started our company in June of 1959. His son Carlton, familiarly known as Chip, took over operations in 1985, and became President when his father officially retired in 1996. Chip has been in construction for over 30 years, working for his father, on his own, for a commercial contractor traveling the midwest, and as the head of our company. With the small size of our company, Chip deals directly with everyone involved in the process of turning ideas and sketches into a masterful finished product – customers, architects, surveyors and engineers, building and zoning officials, suppliers, and all of the skilled tradesmen on the job. His assistant, JoAnn, works full time in the office to support operations. We have our own crew of carpenters and laborers, and subcontract the other trades. Our workmanship, reputation, and word of mouth are our only advertising.

Our project included expanding the footprint of our house, digging out and expanding the basement, remodeling our kitchen and master bath, re-configuring some inside walls, replacing and adding new stairways, replacing flooring throughout, adding a screen porch, patio and walkways, and re-landscaping our yard.
Chip was a huge help right from the start - giving us a good overview and making suggestions of how to proceed with the project. Throughout the course of the job - which lasted a full year - he was excellent at communicating what would be done when, and was sensitive to working within our schedule. As the work proceeded and we made additions and changes to our original plan he was always open to listening to our ideas and working with us to assure we got what we wanted.
All of the work done through WE Build was high quality, and when things weren't right they made sure they were corrected quickly and properly.
They deserve a huge kudos for this as well: Midway through our project, Chip had an unfortunate accident where he broke his leg, requiring surgery and recovery/physical therapy time. Even being out of commission, he did not miss a beat and made arrangements to assure our work would continue as scheduled.
We would definitely use WE Build again, and would highly recommend them to others looking for a general contractor.
All of the subcontractors and Warren Builder's employees were timely, courteous, trustworthy and very professional. Carpenters cut and installed 50 feet of chair rails and shadow boxes, build a delightful nook in the entry hall, removed and replaced louvered doors, rehung existing doors, removed shutters and old kitchen counter tops, replaced hardware on all cabinets and installed new kitchen cabinets, redesigned laundry closet so a new folding door could be installed, etc. The workmanship of the painter was excellent, my living room and halls are a work of art. Plumber and electricians did quality work in a timely and professional manner, installing new and replacing old fixtures, repairing shower heads, installing new faucets. etc. New granite counter tops and new balcony carpet, are great. Everyone involved with Warren Edwards Builders, Inc. was a pleasure to work with. I truely can say, I am very impressed and pleased with their work.
I highly recommend Warren Edwards Builders, Inc.
