Owner operated. Here at GSRW we specialize in asphalt and cedar roofs, fiber cement and vinyl siding, vinyl and wood windows, kura stone, rain gutters, and soffit and fascia. A lot of times homeowners often wonder "How much does a roof cost?" and "How much does siding cost?" and may go years before calling a roofing contractor or siding contractor not realizing that costs can go up substantially! Roof shingles have been known to jump up as much as 200% in a month because of gas prices. Sometimes a roof may just need a simple roof repair. There are a lot of roofers to choose from, but a lot can be told about a roofing contractor by the type of roof shingles they use. We use Owens Corning Lifetime roof shingles because they are a quality brand that has been proven to last.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! RIPP OFF!!
Did not complete the job; did not return phone calls. Contract stated that John would replace all rotten wood (cedar siding) and match color. John also recommended new gutters. John's crew replaced some siding on our six unit town home. Near the end of the project, he walked the perimeter of our units with two of the board members going over the rotten boards that still needed replacing. He agreed that there were still boards to be replaced.
Although the siding was not finished, the guys came to install the gutters. After speaking with John, he assured me that he would work around the new gutters and it wouldn't affect the boards. He gave me his cell phone number to call if there were any issues. He stated that he would be by within the next couple of days and would contact me when he was coming. He never came; he never called.
Over the next two weeks left SEVERAL messages. He finally picked up and then said he was on the other line and would call me back. no call two weeks later. Has not returned any calls. Despite my letting the management company know he didn't finish the work, he was paid. He now has his full money. I doubt he will respond.
Update 7/28/2014: see previous review for F rating.I stand by my original review. The siding that was to be replaced by our unit was in the front over the garage. John actually discussed the 4 boards over our garage (the only rotten boards for our unit). John discussed this with my husband and agreed that those boards should be replaced and they would be. The work contracted was not specified in the contract that was shared. Only state "rotten boards". I spoke with John on the phone twice (albeit the one call was brief). So his saying he never had contact with me is false (my phone records go to his cell phone). I met John the first night he was here for the estimate. I also offered/provided water and ice for his workers.
"I was hired by Sue F the president to do PARTIAL cedar repair for beachwood townhomes and only in the front of the townhomes.OnceI was done Sue paid me and thanked me for a great job plus did about 2000 dollars of rotted wood at no charge and extra trim above the amount I quoted.I have around 20 reviews around the internet and all either A or 5 star I have never had a less then perfect review. The other homeowners kept asking me to do extra stuff and I did but it had to stop and Sue the president told me if anybody wants anything else to tell them I can give them an estimate so I listened and this is what I get for it.On top of all this the quote was given on October of 2013 and the job was done in June 2014 as you all know we had a rough winter but when Sue and I talked about the possibility of More bad siding because of the harsh winter she said they didn't have it in the budget.I never had a contract with Barb or met her.Clients who have had work performed by my company know I will bend over backwards to please them."
