THEY RIP YOU OFF THEN IGNORE YOU! We ordered a skylight for a customer, and even paid quite a few thousand dollars deposit for. It took many months to hear anything about. The customer decided to cancel because it was taking so long. E-GSI refused to refund the deposit. At first saying the glass had not even been ordered yet, then changed the story and said it had been custom made and we could only get a credit, not a refund, but they refused to even give us the glass they said had been made. The owner JR is a crook and a liar! To try to use our credit, we tried to get a written estimate for another customer. The verbal estimate went from $2-5K to $8-10k, then almost $20K. After multiple emails and calls to JR trying to get a written estimate and being ignored for over a month, I finally got ahold of him on the phone and he still refused to give me an estimate. At first he said he didn’t even remember who I was, which after multiple emails, phone messages, and a few conversations, how could he not remember. I think not only is he a lying crook, he is old and out of his mind. He told me that sending him an email doesn’t cut it. So I asked him why he ignored me so many times, and that is not a way to treat a customer. He kept going in circles and talking nonsense. He had basically stollen our $ and is refusing to allow us to get that back through another order. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF!

Great. JR was able to quickly build me a custom made skylight for my project. He worked closely with me to design my skylight, walked me through the options and then was able to meet my short time line. I would definitely use him in the future on other projects.

This company ROCKS!!! When JR Tidwell, the owner, came to my house, he spent 90 minutes with my roofer and me. JR explained everything I needed to know about skylights, UV protection (which was very important to me since I have a lot of art), and answered every question my roofer and I had. JR did not rush us; he explained the advantages and disadvantages of each option, made sure he understood what I wanted to accomplish, and then in response to my request, made recommendations, which I accepted. He told me it would take 6-8 weeks because all the skylights were being custom-made, and after 7 weeks I was notified that they were ready. On 9/7/2011, when the GSI crew came out to install the skylights, they were very respectful of my property. They were careful with the skylights, and attentive to the details of installing them. The crew from Countryside Roofing (another fantastic company) commented how impressed they were with GSI's work. I would use GSI in the future - I wouldn't even call anyone else for skylights!
