After listening to what I was looking for, Patrick offered suggestions. I decided on shades and cornices for my windows. He answered all my questions and concerns. The installer came out and installed the shades. Mike installed the shades. It did not take long for him to do this. He was very professional and personable. He arrived at the appointed time. I also had dealings with their office staff and they also were very helpful. I would definitely would recommend them for anyone interested in window treatments.
I am completely satisfied with their product and work.

They're very nice. She gave me her opinion and helped me. It wasn't the price that I thought it would be. I called them and they have a good response and they're on time.

I submitted a request for an in-home consultation. The next day Kelly called to make an appointment for me with Tara, the in-home consultant. Tara arrived right on time and was very pleasant and knowledgeable. She walked me through all the options, fabrics, and colors until we had the proper blend to go into my space. It was a painless process for me as I found Tara very easy to work with and we closed a deal that day.
Patrick and Arnold showed up right on time to install the shades. They were both very professional and easy going guys. They came in and had all the shades installed on 9 windows in 45 minutes or so. We collectively went window to window to make sure everything was in order.

I needed to replace two twenty-year-old Levelor blinds that could not be repaired.  I used Budget Blinds in Grayslake because of their high rating on Angie's List.  The office person I spoke to told me they didn't handle Levelor products, but did handle a "Signature Series" blind that was "better than Levelor and had a longer warantee".  (This was not true.  Levelor gives a ten year warantee.  Budget Blinds only gives a five year warantee.  But I let it go.)  The owner, Patrick Patterson, came out and measured the windows.  We selected a color from a color chart.  I told him of my conversation with his office staff and suggested it was false advertising, possibly due to an overly enthusiastic employee that needs to be corrected.  He did not address that, but assured me that his blinds were actually sold by several major stores, under other names.  The blinds were delivered a few weeks later and Patrick installed them.  I could see immediately that the Budget Blinds were narrower (by one-eighth inch) and noticibly lighter weight than the Levelor blinds they replaced.  "Budget Blinds" is well named.  I got what I paid for, so I did not complain to Patrick, but I know they will never give me twenty years of service like the Levelor blinds did, and if I need to replace other Levelor blinds in my house, I will make sure I use abetter blind than what Budget Blinds has to offer.  In retrospect, if I had actually seen a sample of their blinds before I signed a contract, instead of just a color chart, I think I would've looked for a different vendor.

It went fine and everything turned out good.  They did a good job.

Patrick came out and took all the measurements, listened to our wants and needs, made suggestions and provided a very reasonable estimate. He gave us a timeframe of when to expect installation.
We received a call a few days earlier than estimated. We were told it would take a couple of hours to install. The installer arrived at our home early, and it took less time than estimated. The installation was done in a timely and professional manner. I am very pleased and based on our experience, I would certainly recommend Budget Blinds of Grayslake to our friends and family for any future projects.

We had an excellent experience.  Patrick was on time for the appointment and was very helpful in making recommendations on products, and did not try to sell us more than what we needed.  The estimated lead time was right on target, and the installation went very smoothly.  Kevin, the installer, was neat, polite and friendly.  They even re-hung another valance for us at no charge.

Called Budget Blinds Grayslake for information and Kelly was able to schedule a free estimate for installing new shades in our master bedroom for Saturday morning which was just several days later.  Patrick Patterson arrived at the promised time, brought numerous samples of shades to choose from, provided a professional and courteous opinion of the numerous styles and which ones would work best for the look we wanted and the location of the windows, took accurate measurements, wrote the order for cordless shades and told us it would take approximately 3 weeks for delivery.  When we inquired about finishing off with a cornice or valance he told us about the products he could provide and also made suggestions on how we could finish it ourselves.  This impressed us as a good salesman without the "hard sell" attitude.  3 weeks to the day Patrick called to say our shades were in and we were fortunate enough to schedule installation the next day.  Installer Kevin showed up at the promised time, carefully installed the shades - which fit perfectly into the window frame - demonstrated how durable the product was and how easy it was to raise and lower the cordless shades.  We will definitely call Patrick again when we are ready to replace any other window treatments in our house.

The custom shade came  right within the timeline promised., which was only about 2 weeks.
I thought the installation would be a bit tricky, but not for this installer.  He was a perfectionist and did a beautiful job.
From the word "Budget" in their name, I had a slight concern about the quality.  So I was extremely pleased to see that the quality is right up there with some of the high end custom shades I had in other rooms.
I couldn't be happier.  The shade is hidden when not needed, and it is beautiful when in use.  And most important:  the problem is solved.  The room is much warmer now!
It was a pleasure working with Patrick and I would definitely use him again.  He is an accessible owner and eager to please.
