0 friends 5 reviews 5.0 star rating 11/5/2017 I've had Beckman service our air conditioner and furnace for a few years. In July, our basement was wiped out by a huge sewer back up. They did a lot of work for me including redoing the dryer vent to meet code for the new dryer replacement, a new furnace install, and a new a/c install. Every time they visited the house, they were friendly and professional and provided me with information to make a decision. Initially, I thought we were going to save the furnace, they suggested replacing, but said that the furnace was safe for the time being. It wouldn't fire up a few months later, so we went with their initial recommendation. There were no high pressure sales tactics or magically cheap units with coupons from those sketchy flyers you get in the mail. You really had the sense that they were focused on quality, providing reasonable prices, and giving excellent service. I'm sure you can find cheaper units, but Beckman provides high quality Bryant units and they back them with their responsive service people. You know that they'll be there for you if there is ever a problem. It's hard to find people you trust. I trust Beckman Brothers to be honest and do the job the right way.

Technician was professional and diagnosed the issue in a timely manner. He determined it was a wire that lost its protective coating by rubbing against another surface and tripping the circuit. Wire was repaired and service returned to normal functioning. Technician took adequate time to answer questions about repair as well as potential maintenance contract. Signed up for maintenance contract (competitive prices and terms with other reputable area contractors) and enrolled my mother with them, too. Same technician returned for the annual check on my AC units (have two contracts for 2 furnaces/ACs) as well as the unit at my mother's residence. Technician was again professional and answered all questions adequately. Didn't push any products/services we didn't need. The Baker's Square gift card given with each service contract is a nice touch. It is good for any pie at Baker's Square. Responsiveness was a B rating because initially they weren't going to be able to schedule the appoinment for a couple of weeks. However, upon a second call, they were able to adjust the schedule and get us in the following week.

Both times, they came out same day, which was great as I had no heat. They were on time, professional, and tidy. Took the time to explain in great detail what was going wrong. Pretty sizable markup on parts. I expect this, but I looked it up afterwards out of curiosity. The 24v transformer for my unit retails for $25. They charged me just shy of $150 for the part. $75 to roll the truck (which is not waived if services are performed), and labor rate is $88/hour. Since I had them come out twice in a short period of time, they cut me a break on the house call fees for one visit. High marks for quality. Prices seemed to be nothing particularly special.

Adam was great. He noticed that a part needed replaced. This part was under warranty. Even though Beckmann Bros didn't install my furnace, they took care of everything. They were able to find the part and installed it the same afternoon. Great customer service.

Our CO detector had gone off a few times. We had only been in the home 2 months and were not yet familiar with all the mechanicals. I purchased the deal offered for a furnace inspection. Thank God I did! The company was quick to respond and scheduling was easy. Our technician showed up on time and was very polite and professional. Unfortunately our furnace was in bad shape and was leaking high levels of carbon monoxide into our home. We had an inspection prior to purchasing the home but it was an overall inspection but there was not a thorough check of the furnace, just an overall basic check. Anyway, the tech showed us some of the issues and said he had to leave our furnace inoperable due to how dangerous the issues were. I was not thrilled since it is winter and freezing right now. But we made due with space heaters. I appreciated his concern and that safety mattered. He also provided us with a very neatly written estimate with 3 potential options at 3 price points. He explained what he would do but also made sure we were aware of less costly options. Ultimately our home warranty covered the cost of a replacement furnace but we had to use their vendor. Overall it was a good experience with a professional company and technician. I would definitely use them again.

The turnaround was great, they called me the same day to schedule it, they were able to get out within a week. Honored price, service went well and the technician gave us an idea of our furnace's health and potential problem areas in the future (without selling us on a repair). Went well overall, services were completed as expected.

At 4am, our carbon monoxide detector went off. After the fire dept. came and did some readings and let in some fresh air, they ok'd us coming back into the house. The next morning, we were able to schedule an appt. with Beckman between 9-10am. The tech came, and after checking the furnace, checked the water heater and dryer just in case something else had triggered the alarm. He was very courteous and very professional. We wound up having no leaks and no issues, so not sure if a freak occurrence (Larry explained that even moisture could trigger the detector) had happened but Larry put my mind at ease. We would use Beckman again!

After a recent flood, my HVAC system had been fully submerged along with a portion of my ducts. They were quick to come out, assess the situation and present options. Their prices were fair and their solution to my need to reroute some of my ducts (at my request) was great. They completed the job on time and at budget. I had a lot of questions especially since I was working with my insurance company and John and his crew made everything as easy as possible. I can't say enough positive things about this company and highlight recommend them!
