I would trust Tony with any pair of shoes! The boots I brought in had rubber soles and heels and I was not sure if the worn out heels could be fixed. The $25 repair saved a a pair of boots that cost $150 and still had a lot of life left in them. They were polished and looked as good as new - and they were ready in a few hours. I have taken other expensive shoes here in the past - Gucci loafers, Cole Haan, etc. Tony and his staff always do an excellent job. I highly recommend this shop.

Needed some new heels on my shoes. Since the shoes are from Europe I was hesitant about just going to any shop but Tony immediately noticed the quality of the shoes. The repair was quick and excellent. New heels for shoes

He is highly rated. They are very tough about fixing shoes. Their ethics are goof, if the shoes are too old they won't do it if it is not worth it. They are professional and it looks like factory finish when they are done. They may be a little higher in price but not that much. They are right at the top for quality, that is the main thing. I have used them two or three times and will continue to do so.

Tony is marvelous. He has a very clean shop, an old world's craftsman. He takes pride in his work. My podiatrist was amazed at the repair work he had done on a pair of my birkenstocks, my podiatrist is even recommending him. His repair work makes the product look as good as new. He thoroughly explains his repairs in great detail. He is very fairly prices his repair work. It is very possible to get same day service, depending on the severity of the repair. He takes checks and cash, no credit card information. I've been seeing Tony for three years.

Excellent experience

I needed a zipper replaced on a small carry-on rolling suitcase. After reading the report on Tony's shoe repair, I drove to Glenview to see if he could do it. He was extremely grumpy, looked at it, and at first tried to tell me I was incorrect, that there was nothing wrong with the zipper. When I showed him that it would peel apart, he said no it couldn't be fixed and I should just return it to the manufacturer. I explained that it's more than a year old so that's not an option. I asked if he could recommend anyone else and he said, "No". He may be good at shoes but not suitcase zippers and with that grumpy manner, I wouldn't take my shoes there either!

The workmanship was excellent, the price competitive, maybe even a bit below average, ready when promised. On top of it all, this is a guy who finds a way to say yes to a shoe repair vs, "we don't do that" that I more often hear from others in the area. Tony is not a high tech guy. His shop is all old fashioned, but boy does he get the job done. And if you've got the time to chat, you're in for a delightful conversation.
