I've been putting this job off for a while: replacing ten seven-foot tall storm windows on the first floor of our 1891 house. I thought we'd never be able to afford the cost of removing the old storms and installing a new set. But my wife kept saying, "Just get an estimate." We did, and I was floored by how reasonable the estimate was. Once we got the estimate I drove out to their Glenview office, arriving unannounced, and Steve (I believe he's part owner and a member of the Savocchi family) took time out of his lunch break to answer my questions and show me samples of various storm/screen windows. He introduced me to Marcia in the office, who handles scheduling and communications. We set up an inspection date with Scott, one of several crew bosses, who came to our house armed with brochures and more samples. He answered all our questions and we set up a date to remove the old windows. It really did go this easily: everyone was very personable and there was quick, clear communication from the beginning. Savocchi removed our old windows, ordered new ones from Mon-Ray to fit our specifications, did the final tweaking in their shop, and installed them several weeks later when they were ready. We were absolutely amazed--and pleased--at how smooth the entire operation was, facilitated by Scott who did the initial measurements and was present during the removal and installation phases (this was a very big plus for us). I can't tell you how satisfied we are with our new storms windows, but more importantly than that how satisfied we were with the entire process. Thanks Steve, Marcia, and Scott for a job well done!

They voluntarily did a mock up of the glass table top, which made it much easier to see what the right proportions should be.

They are busy but mange to squeeze me in.

They are great.  They've installed many windows for me in the past and this is our second or third door they've installed.  They are nice, prompt, efficient and I recommend them highly.

We called Savocchi Glass to come repair broken panes in a window original to our Victorian house.  The window is made up of 32 little,panes of glass, each small pane is 4" x 4".  Six of them were cracked.  Our job was handled in a reasonable amount of time from when we called.  The worker was polite, explained what he would do.  He did a really nice job on the window panes.  He also instructed us in how long to wait before painting over the putty to seal it, to allow it to properly dry and cure.  We thought the price was a bit high, but we were happy with the work they did; if we had gone with someone cheaper, we might not have had as nice a result.  I will definitely use this company again.

Beautifully in all ways.  They have helped lover the heat coming in from  the west summer sun and have completely eliminated the condensation and consequent dripping and pooling of condensate on the wood framing at the bottom of the each window which had resulted in wood rot and mildew.

Company is local and I like to support business in my community. Staffers are super friendly and response time was speedy.  I think the cost, however, was a bit high given the time and expense it took to complete.  They did a decent job but I think could have been a bit neater in the execution.  I'll continue to use them but if a bigger job will definitely price out against others.

Repair went well, matched color, added some caulking to other panes. Has held up well for almost two years now.

One of the sash cords got hung up inside the sash after it was painted. They had to return, remove the window trim to get to it and fix it. Then I had to paint it again. The other two windows worked fine.

I would recommend Savocchi Glass Windows & Doors Inc.  They did a terrific job.  They were quite competitive.  They did what they said when they said they will do it.  The cost was exactly what they quoted.  They were reliable and they came when they said they will come.  They charged what they said they will charge.

Savocchi has been doing window work for us for years -- our house has an unusually large number of windows. We've always been pleased with their work, and this was no exception.

They sold me a good quality door with quality, professional installers.  The price was also better than any other quotes received.

Took dimensions to store, selected style/product, ordered, and delivered/installed in my home.  Kept informed by vendor of order status.

They did a great job. Not just the quality but in terms of their servicing stood out. They called back right away, pretty much had all of the answers to our questions. They had to come out and do a premeasure. The quality and servicing were good.

Transaction was very smooth.  Al came out to the house, measured my front door, and provided an estimate.  The storm door is expensive because it's arched at the top and there aren't a lot of manufacturers who make these.  It also takes awhile, like 10 weeks, to come in.  I knew all of that upfront, and the storm door was delivered and installed right on time, and at the cost I was quoted.  It was a pleasure doing business with these guys.

These guys are outstanding.

The mirror refastening went well but we were unsatisfied with the replacement of the medicine cabinet and attached mirror.  the alignment of the medicine cabinet was imperfect.  They initially did not want to remove and re-align the medicine cabinet, but I called the owner of the company.  He came to our house to look at the installation and said that he thought it was good.  After I told him I was unhappy, he did have a workman come back to our house and re-aligned the cabinet to our satisfaction.

The entire window needs to be replaced and we will use them for that window as well as several others which need replacing.  I believe their specialty is working with older homes and our house is over 100 years old.  I will be calling them again.
