Awful, nearly every picture the glass was broken, a cabinet damaged, a clock's leg broken and never recovered. Did i mention they packed the boxes. The owners a hothead.

They admitted to dropping  the buffet and wrote on the receipt that is would be fixed ASAP.

They have continuously stopped taking my phone calls.  Both brothers, Jim Larkin and Rob Larkin have my caller ID and do not pick up the telephone when I call. They do not return my calls.

I know that they have no intention of sending someone out to repair the damage.  I have three estimates and they are about $1200.

Do not use this moving company.

The customer service person on the phone was very helpful and friendly, and we were able to set up a move with very short notice.  We didn't need the short time line, just worked out that way.   Unfortunately despite the enthusiasm of the office, the movers did not show up when they were scheduled.  They did call, at least, but eventually came an hour and a half late.  This created issues as parking spaces filled up on the street.  They did get everything loaded in a timely fashion, then to the new place.  Unloading went pretty smoothly.  I had one piece of trim damaged, but they were moving a large piece around an "L" shaped entrance, so i will cut them some slack.  They got everything to the room it belonged in.  Total job took about 5 hours.   I have used this company in the past for two other moves.  I have found them to be generally reliable, and damage minimal.   However on one previous move, they quoted me a rate for a 4 man crew and showed up (and charged me) for a 5 man crew.  They said it was about the same because 5 people could work faster, so the time was less.  Maybe, maybe not, but I would watch for that.

It was a very cold day that we moved, and they kept moving our stuff up 4 flights of stairs. They worked very hard and really did a good job!

We even had to move the date up because our buyer wanted to move in sooner than expected, and they stepped right up, during the holidays nonetheless, and did the work without any complaint.

Initial call for a quote went well.  I called a few other movers and the prices were similar.  The quote included a four person crew, shrink wrap, floor protection, and wardrobe boxes.  I called back a few days later and confirmed that I was going with them.  The gentleman thanked me (I believe his name was Tom) and he said he would call me a few days before...all seemed well.

Tom never called and when I called the afternoon before it seemed they had to search through their records to find who I was.  He said they would be there at 8am.  The morning of the move, two movers showed up at 8:35.  They waited around another 10-15 minutes for the other two movers to finally show up.  The head guy came in and walked through the house.  Before they started he became very pushy about me buying insurance for an extra fee.  It would cover $15,000 in case anything was damaged otherwise they only pay 30cents a pound if stuff gets broke.  Ugh, I sighed.

The guys worked hard and were pleasant.  For the most part, the physical move went well.  When we arrived at the new house they were not going to lay down plastic to protect the carpets.  After a few minutes of asking me if that was what I really wanted, they laid it down in the main hallway.  The only damage was to my entertainment center.  When they were putting it in the house, they lifted it up by one of the shelves and ripped the screwed in shelf out.  I happened to see them do it but they did not know that I saw them do it (more on that in a minute).  They worked hard and the guys carrying everything in the house finished up strong.

The three guys doing the heavy lifting were done and standing in my front yard.  The lead guy, who happened to be the one that was handling the bill and payment stayed in the truck an extra 15 minutes folding moving blankets while the other 3 guys stood around and did nothing.

When we sat down to finalize the bill he quoted me 8am to the time on his watch.  I said that they started late and had finished 15 minutes ago so it should be less.  He said that he was still working and they didn't start that late, anyway they round up.  He said he look at his watch and that was the time they are charging.  Ugh.

I asked him if they had noticed if they broke anything.  He said no, nothing got broken.  When I said that his guys broke the shelf on the entertainment center he said it didn't look broken (he was sitting a room away).  We got up and looked at it and said it wasn't bad at all and when you place the shelf a certain way you can't see it at all.  I said that wasn't good enough so he said that he could take my shelf to the shop and glue it up and bring it back in a few days.  I asked what the insurance got me that I bought earlier and he said that it was for major events like the truck tipping over.  After I stared in disbelief for a few minutes he said that he could give me a $25 credit or take the shelf and fix it and that is the best offer I am going to get.

Needless to say, I will never consider using them again.  The movers did a pretty good job but the head gentleman was unprofessional and untrustworthy.

It went okay. It was more than my estimate. The movers were friendly. They were efficient for the most part. I would probably use them again to move the office. The only thing is that, whatever they would quote you assume that it would be more. The guys who came were friendly and professional. The only thing that bothered me was the finance person of the team. He told me that the guts who had given me the original quote, had tend to downplay the cost so that they don?t scare people away. Customer doesn?t like that because they tend to over calculate the cost. They didn?t break anything. I would use them in the future.

Received a firm quote over the phone on Monday, and were able to scheduled the move for the very next day. Two strong men and a large truck arrived promptly at 8:00 am. We had already taped tarps over the basement carpeting to protect it from the soot and ash. These two guys hauled this extremely heavy and unwieldy wood-burning furnace up the stairs, loaded it onto their truck, and were on their way in less than 30 minutes. They were friendly, professional, did not damage any walls or moldings even though it was a tight fit on the basement landing and in the doorways. The family who received the furnace on the other end said the furnace was delivered and installed in its new location by 9:45 am. All in all it was a lot less trouble than we expected! Wish we'd done it years ago! As an aside, we had also solicited an estimate from another highly rated moving company on Angies' List that wanted to send 4 guys out and charge us in 15-minute increments. Overall we felt more comfortable with North Shore Van Lines, and we were not disappointed. We would definitely call them for something like this again!

The team was very efficient and friendly. They moved everything without any damage to our furnishings or the walls. The actual price was less than the over-the-phone estimate. We were very happy with them and would definitely use them again.

The movers were great! Not one item was damaged or scuffed. The movers were not only on time, but early! We did come in an hour and a half over our estimate but it was a long move and a small traffic delay on the Edens. Overall we were very pleased with the work. We thought the movers were efficient while still be careful with our belongings. We would use this company again.

THE COMPANY CAME HIGHLY RECOMMENDED BY FRIENDS AND WERE PROMPT AND EFFICIENT. THEY TOOK A HALF-HOUR BREAK FOR LUNCH AND DIDN'T CHARGE US FOR IT. WE MOVED IN THE DEAD OF WINTER AND THEY WERE CAREFUL TO AVOID TRACKING SNOW AND SALT INTO EITHER PLACE.
