Koala Insulation of North Chicagoland

I had Koala blow fiberglass insulation into my attic last fall, taking me up to R-49, plus sealing various openings, and I was impressed by the work they did. So I was surprised that a problem I had before was not cured: snow was melting on the roof above my bathtub and shower. I sent a note to Michael Schoenfeld, and he and Nanny, the lead technician on the original job, came out to take a look. Nanny spent about 3 hours, and Michael an additional hour, determining that the inside of the wall behind my showerwas open into the attic. Then Nanny opened up the closet wall behind the bath, installed a block of foam insulation, and sealed it with spray-in insulation, solving the problem. I asked Michael what he would be charging me for the nearly half-day of labor, and he said “nothing.” This is maybe a long way of saying that they spent about half a day fixing a problem that had nothing to do with the original work. To do that for no charge was amazing. Remarkable service!
