The front porch (steps, deck and railing) of my city home was in bad shape. One of the footings had sunk causing the whole deck to lilt to one side. Additionally, the some of the old wood was starting to rot.
II received multiple quotes from multiple vendors and George was the lowest, but he was also the only carpenter who bothered to come to my home and see the old porch himself. He asked many appropriate questions regarding design & materials so we were very comfortable we were all on the same page.
He scheduled our work for as soon as he finished his current jobs and showed-up as promised. He was on-site for most of the time, but his team worked diligently even when he had to step away. They demolished the old deck, carted away all the old materials and sunk new posts and footings all on the first day. The second day saw the construction of the new porch. Some design changes were required to meet newer building codes, and George was able to smartly incorporate into our desired footprint. He used quality materials and rust-proof hardware.
A day or two after he was done I decided I would like different look under the top rail. George was able to come back the next week, and make the change at no additional charge. He was clearly interested in ensuring my satisfaction.
