About us

DONE was founded after its owner, Luke Martinsen, experienced 10 years of difficulty finding respected, reliable demolition and disposal services as a General Contractor. Working in a professional environment, building high-end homes, Luke never found a trustworthy, consistent company to complete the demolition portion of the home-remodeling process. He needed a contractor that is thinking one step ahead and that is very conscious and respectful of the environment. Luke realized that, not only did he need a demolition disposal contractor, but all his sub contractors needed one too. RESIDENTIAL AND COMMERCIAL INTERIOR DEMOLITION AND DISPOSAL Why should your specialized contractors waste time doing demolition, hauling of the materials, loading of their truck, and bringing it to the dump when that's not what they specialize in? They are professional, courteous and very timely. Their pricing is very competitive for services rendered. They show up on time and communicate very well with staff and clients. When working in people’s homes they are contentious of their surroundings and the homeowners. We would recommend them to any company or homeowner that needs demolition services or remediation.

Luke showed up for our scheduled estimate meeting right on time (pretty unusual these days.) He provided the estimate quickly as promised. The price was very fair so we asked Done to do the work. Once again, Luke and crew showed up exactly on time to perform the job. All work was done thoughtfully, with care always taken to avoid damage. The guys moved several VERY heavy radiator down tight stairs with no issue. In the basement, air filters were set up and the house taped off. All the work was done thoroughly and professionally. When there was a miscommunication about the scope of work, Luke spent and extra hour plus taking care of it without issue. All workspaces were cleaned very well. Overall, I have nothing negative to say about Done Demo. I highly recommend and will use them again for any demo jobs.

Excellent communication up front. Team arrived ahead of schedule. A back breaking job that would have taken me 2 days, to complete, they were done with in 4 hours. Double jack hammers made quick work of the slab, and the rest was moving materials upstairs and into the dump truck. They left a clean space, with a clean cavity that my plumber can work in. Luke, the owner, has a deep understanding of all elements of home building, and gave me some advice to ensure proper back fill and how to finish the cement once pipes are laid. Trust me, you do not want to do this yourself...small price to pay for a professional, worry-free, and properly executed job that is better than what the actual plumber would do.

He arrived early on each day, demolition was planned for 3 days. He completed each day on time, and was finished early. He even prepped the furnace prior to concrete removal by the basement contractor. I would happily use him again!

Better than expected. Luke gutted the place, rebuilt and made great design suggestions. He also replace attic stairs and helped us clean out unwanted clutter.

Luke at Done Demolition is the REAL DEAL! He is honest, extremely knowledgable and courteous beyond any sub or contractor I have ever previous worked with. Demolition is dirty and very hard labor and he was there consistently with his crew to get the job done. Two things that stand out for us that separates his services;  First is that he is extremely knowledgeable in construction since he used to work on that build side. This is VERY helpful when demo'ing and his guidance was always appreciated and really saved us money down the road. The other thing that really stood out for us is that is he the neatest and most courteous contractor we have ever worked with...and he does DEMO! His customer service is professional, current (billing and contracts are ON a computer) and he gets the job done. We were sad to see his team go from our house...he really is one of kind! I will recommend his company to ANYONE looking to have demo done in the Chicagoland area.
