"The owner followed up with Mr. [Member Name Removed] and resolved the situation. Sent an installer back to address issues and customer is now satisfied."
"Installers were late to the job and due to the inconvenience the customer had to deal with, we gave her a credit back off of her final bill. We hold our installers to the highest standards and do not send anyone to jobs we feel are not able to perform work. We are very sorry the customer feels otherwise and upon receiving this review, we called the customer the following morning to set up a repair to address concerns with seams and nails poking up and have not heard back to schedule a time for us to go out and repair."
The owner, Sarah, was very informative, responsive, and punctual. She helped me pick my carpet, walked through the pros and cons, and even gave me advise on color schemes. She told me which coupons to use with Angie's list to get the best deal.
The actual installation went well. The team seemed very professional and the carpet looks and feels amazing! My husband and I were both very happy with the result.
The price was a little high, but I chose one of the more premium carpets/brands and had a fair amount of square footage
to cover with four bedrooms. Overall, would work with Trend Carpet & Tile again.- Sales: Excellent help and the store selection was very broad.
- Service: Installation began exactly on time. Removed old carpet then installed new without a hitch. Moved a lot of furniture.. no damage. Very personable installers. Got the job done when promised. Hauled all old carpet away.
- Price: Was expensive but you get what you pay for. And .. we love it.
Compliments to all involved: Paul, Sarah and installers.
After placing the order it took about 2 weeks for delivery. The floor needed to sit in the house for 1 more week. Installation was 3 days. The installers carefully moved the furniture around and placed it back when they were done. They cleaned up their mess as best as expected when doing a remodeling project.
The stairs I have are not up to today's code. So the installation took a little bump in the road because the floor planks were not fitting perfect . He gave the 3 ways to fix the problem, and his opinion as to how to overcome this. I agreed with his idea and he made them look good without having to cost extra time and money that the other 2 ways would have cost.
Bottom line is very happy with the process from start to beginning and will go back to them for future floor needs.
11/30/15 update. After installation we had a few minor problems with the floor that needed to be corrected. Trend did hold up their end of getting it corrected and making it right. They spoke with the manufacturer and also had an independant appraiser look at the issues with the floor. However, it did take 4 months to finally solve the issue. This was probably mainly due to an installer who did not install it properly. The original installer then had multiple follow ups at my house trying to correct the issue. The same installer cancelled his scheduled service at least 3 times becuase of many different reasons. The final one was becuase he was out of town on "another job" that was taking him longer than expected. The same installer never confirmed the apponitments as I asked him too, and would show up late. It was always wait and see if he was going to show, then call to see where he was at. After the 3rd time of him not showing up, I had to request a new installer be assigned to finish the job properly. Trend did this right away. The new installer came out, saw what was wrong, and fixed all of the floor issues in 1 day a few weeks later.
To have made this better, I wish Trend was more involved in keeping up with what the independant contractors are doing when they are installing floors and when they are scheduled to come out. The 1st one made them look like an uncaring company. However, when I spoke with Sarah or her father on the phone they were nothing but helpful and wanted to correct the issues. We finally did, I just felt like I had to be more in control of the situation than I wanted to be.
Going back to have more of the house recarpeted soon.
I had used Trend before with great results, but I still got quotes from two other companies. Obviously - Trend was competitive, as usual.
We waited too long to replace the carpet because we were dreading the experience. The team at Trend made it painless - so sorry we hadn't done it sooner. The rooms look like new and the carpets feel like you are walking on air.
