Both projects went very well. The sales rep, Mike, knowledgeable and helpful. Listened to our ideas, then made suggestions that improved on our ideas and was less expensive. The installation crews were prompt, efficient and neat. We have had a number of compliments on the work. Would definitely recommend Ultimate Home Solutions.

Installed new LP SmartSide siding and trim with staggered shakes in gables. Versetta Stone in front. Crew was very cooperative and did a terrific job. Looks fantastic and we have received numerous compliments already.

I had my windows and doors installed by ultimate home solutions,the installers Greg and Collin were not only very professional but did excellent work. They were clean both during and after the work was done.I highly recommend them.

The whole process was stress free.   The sales person was helpful,  knowledgeable,  and professional.    The guys installing the windows knew their stuff,   were on time,   installation went smoothly.    They cleaned up everything,   left the place as they found it.     Great selection of windows,   we are very happy with the results!

We had other work (windows and siding) done by Ultimate Home Solutions when they were called Illinois Exteriors and been happy with their work. So when Dennis Bales said they were expanding into interior remodeling, we asked him to do our kitchen remodel. It was a big mistake.
We told him we were ready to sign a contract around July 1, 2014 and signed a contract with down payment of $14,200 on Aug 6. The contract didn?t have much detail ? no breakout of electrical or plumbing expenses. We didn?t get any elevation drawings ? just a kitchen floor plan with the cabinet sizes.
Things came to a halt when the village building department said it looked like the wall we were moving was load-bearing and we needed an architect or structural engineer to sign off on the work. We had the original blueprints from when the house was built so we could see that it was a minor load-bearing wall. We didn?t mind paying for the architect to do the work, but the job of finding one fell on our shoulders. Dennis gave us a couple names of architects, but they were all too busy to take on the small project. We finally found an architect and got the necessary building permit approval. The cabinet order was released Nov 19 with an estimated ship time of 6 weeks.
Dennis didn?t want to start any demo work until the cabinets had arrived and been inspected. Construction finally began Feb 2 ? about 7 months after we told him we were ready to proceed. During that time there were many emails and phone calls and trips by Dennis to measure various things. He didn?t seem to have a checklist of things that needed to be taken care of. During the construction several things needed to be redone ? laundry room plumbing, drywall, laundry room door, doorknobs. These were because of permit requirements or sloppy work ? not because of changes we made. Daily cleanup was minimal. We passed final inspection Apr 28.
Throughout the project Dennis complained frequently about how unreasonable the village building department was. I was so thankful the building department required the work be done at least to some minimum standard. He charged us $760 extra to bring laundry room plumbing up to code ? otherwise he stuck to the price in the contract.  In the end, the kitchen looks pretty good, as long as you don?t look closely under the sink or where the cabinets meet the walls. It was a long, frustrating, expensive journey but our less-small kitchen does work better.

Saw the door at Lowe's and checked out their prices.  Had used Ultimate before (Illinois Exteriors) so I contacted them as they were listed as a supplier of that door.  Their $ was about the same as Lowe's (Lowe's had included lockset choice up to $100)  but Ultimate is in Glen Ellyn and I was happy with prior service.  Door supplier shipped door one week late but Ultimate explained problem and install was done quickly and no mess.  I supplied locksets to which they said "No Problem".  HAPPY WIFE, HAPPY LIFE!

At the recommendation of a couple of our friends we decided to give these guys a call.
"Ultimate Home Solutions" is their new name... previously known as "Illinois Exteriors". Mr. Bales made a home visit at our convenience to show the windows they had to offer. Impressed, we made a showroom visit to see samples of their window product line. It was there that we found out why they needed to change their name as they now do kitchen remodeling and other INTERIOR work as well as windows and siding.
Their product quality and prices fit our plans so we completed the contract for 17 windows. They were delivered and installed on schedule. We were able to communicate easily with the crew and they did an excellent, professional job. What we found the most impressive is that they didn't cut corners. They obviously have some high standards that they set for themselves. We had two windows which were significantly changed from the original design which required extra work and material and they did both to perfection and without incurring additional cost to us.
We're planning to do some kitchen and flooring work in the years to come and will be looking for these guys to help us out.

I obtained three estimates to replace two sliding glass doors in our house. Illinois Exterior's quote was reasonable for the type of doors we wanted. We felt that both the product and the work to be performed were described in enough detail for us to make an informed decision, but not so much as to overwhelm us. The doors were ordered and arrived when promised. The workers were punctual, friendly and efficient. We are very pleased with the doors and with Illinois Exterior. We would use Illinois Exteriors again, and would highly recommend them to others.

The gentleman from Illinois Exterior mentioned that they don't always take these small jobs, but he would do it this time.  He asked me to keep his company in mind for future window replacement, etc. which I will do. The job was completely quickly with no fuss, and I have had no problems since with the siding.

Michael came out and gave us an estimate. We agreed to having the work performed. A second measurement was made to assure an accurate fit. When the windows came in, a date was set for their installation. The carpenters and Michael came to our home and the whole job was completed by mid day. The quality of the windows exceeds our expectations.

Sales cycle was good; they were responsive (and patient with us), provided very good comparative detail on the window construction, operation, etc. Initial price was artificially high, especially when they knew they would be giving us additional discounts in the same discussion and subsequent discussion. But value was compelling with all discounting. Once we signed and order was placed, things slowed down -- we were told initially to expect 4-5 weeks until the windows would be delivered, but it was close to 8 weeks. Installation scheduling went smoothly, and they showed up on time and did a great job installing and cleaning up -- completed the installs on the first day, and exterior trim work and caulking the 2nd day. Very satisfied with the professionalism of the installers and the final product. Only a few weeks of actual experience so far, but the improvement (heat reduction / efficiency, and eliminating drafts) is very noticeable - and what we hoped for.

The initial set of windows was handled by a salesman in 2008 who was wonderful. he was the only person i dealt with besides the actual installers. if i had any questions or problems he addressed it immediately and with fantastic service. he since became ill and had to retire. in 2009 i ended up dealing with the owner of the company for the second order of windows. He is impatient, short tempered, reluctant to help, and it took 3 separate calls to him to come out and address the problem of a window that wouldn't close. the first time he came out he jammed it shut and said it had to settle, the second time he came out to address the same problem that was not resolved he just screwed the lock in tighter and jammed it shut. the third time he came out to address it he finally said he would just replace the window. he took almost 2 months of promises after my calling back several times that he would get it taken care of to come out and replace it. he made me feel as if i was inconveniencing him.

The sales contact, Dennis, provided a detailed explanation of my options and helped me select the most appropriate window for my needs. He came to the house to measure and quote and the windows was delivered and installed within the estimated time frame. Installers arrived on time, were courteous, quick, and cleaned up when they left. Window was installed to my satisfaction.

They are friendly to work with. They follow up and work to your satisfaction.

EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE. PROMPT, COURTEOUS WORKERS. CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES EVERY NIGHT. VERY PROFESSIONAL...GOOD VALUE. HAD SEVERAL UNFORESEEN ISSUES ARISE, SALESMAN PERSONALLY CAME OUT TO THE SITE AND PROBLEM SOLVED WITH THE WORKERS.
