Overall, it went well. Several communication errors regarding start date. Work is of high quality and the crew did a great job cleaning up every day.

Mark was fantastic. He responded to all emails within 24 hours. The work was completed in one day and cleanup was so beautiful that you would never know that they were there at all. The only thing that was left was the fantastic roof. I have recommended them already to someone else and it has only been a week.

Spandikow arrived promptly and got right to work. The roof took one day and the gutters took one day. Mr. Spandikow is a man of few words but he gets the job done. After the roof was installed he came back to make sure everything looked to be in good order and made minor adjustments for us free of charge and without appointment. We would recommend Spandikow and would use them again for their services.

After finally reaching them by phone after getting the answering machine approx. eight times with no callbacks, He said he would be here early Sat. morning to provide an estimate. I got up at 7:00 on a Saturday, rushed around taking a shower and eating breakfast so as to be ready when he arrived, and he never showed up. At first I thought it might have been because it was raining, but the rain stopped at 10:00 AM and I did not hear from him all day despite repeated phone calls. The following monday I received an estimate via email from him without him ever seeing my house, asking what I wanted, or answering my questions. It was basically just a price sheet for what they offered. What bothered me the most is that he could have had the courtesy to call me on Saturday to tell me he was not going to show up. I had made plans for Saturday after he was supposed to come and had to cancel them because I was still waiting. I waited all day. If I had this much trouble communicating with him for the estimate, how could I possibly count on being able to get a hold of him during the job. First impressions are important to me in these type of matters. The one I got in this instance was not very good.

I want to update my last report. There was a misunderstanding and the company called, wrote me a note, and also visited my home in order to "make it right." They want to stand behind their work.

Work was done on time and efficiently. Pleasant people to deal with.

They did a good job. The were quick and efficient. They cleaned up after themselves well.

I called Spandikow on a Sat morning and Mark arrived w/in 3 hrs to look at my roof. Mark did a very good job understanding each of the repairs I needed completed. He provided a quote competitive to other contractors and understood the immediate need to get the hole repaired. I give a "fair" evaluation for the responsiveness b/c it did take him 5-6 days to provide the estimate. Other contractors provided quotes w/in 24 hrs. The singles are not an exact match to the existing roof but are close enough. All of the repairs were complete in one day and look to be installed properly/professionaly. I did ask Mark to inform me of the date he could do the work so that I could be home during the time they were on the roof. He did not contact me and one day I noticed the work had been completed. Although I would have prefered to be home, I was happy to see he was able to address my needs in a very short time period from hiring him (~4 days).

It was very difficult to communicate with the workers because they didn't speak much English, but the work they did was okay. Overall it's a good company.

They are absolutely fantastic. We have been using them for 20 years, and we have used them for about 10 times so far. We would continue to use them. They are very reputable, reliable, and always professional. Their pricing is also reasonable. We truly have got the best quotes from them ever, and we have always ended up using them. Now we don?t even bother to get a quote from any other company.

Mark came and provided an estimate promptly. He provided great solutions based on his years of experience in the business.

Office is busy but they called back and gave an estimate promptly. Installed roof on house and garage in one day. Everything was cleaned up perfectly.

Their estimate was the best of about 6 or 7 we obtained. They finished our entire roof in a day and cleaned up very well. They were not a "storm chaser" like many roofing companies out there who are very pushy. Mark Spandikow always treated me respectfully unlike many other companies who only wanted to talk to my husband.

I sent Mark an email and left a voicemail. He quickly replied to the email and returned my call. He came the following Saturday and left an estimate. It was very reasonable. I called him Saturday evening, spoke with him and asked him to do the repair. Two days later - Monday - the job was done. Very prompt and at a good price. He will be back for any future roof work I need.

We requested a roofing estimate from Mark Spandikow and Company. Extremely professional, responsive, and friendly, we received very quick responses to inquiries and a pretty reasonable estimate. We ended up going with a different roofing contractor due to a friend-of-a-friend recommendation, but we would have chosen Spandikow otherwise. They sent us a good packet of information, described their services, and accounted for little requests that we had. I was very pleased with their response time and interest, and I felt like I would have received quality, impressive work from this company. In the future, I wouldn't hesitate to work with them.

Overall it went very well. We decided to break the project into two parts. The main house was done within 3 days time, and turned out very well. We have a deeply gabled roof that we have had leakage problems with in the past, and they took extra precautions to do address those old problems. I am also happy to report that not a leaf of our extensive landscaping was damaged, which I know must have been a challenge. The second stage proved more challenging, due to the peculiar nature of the original construction of the porch. Mr. Spandikow was admirably persistant and they finally found all the quirks of our porch that were causing the problems. We're more than pleased with the results. The crew was professional and knowledgeable, and considerate of our property and our neighbors during an unavoidably noisy project.

We received several estimates and Spandikow's was the best quote. We liked the no hassle/pressure attitude of Mark. He was straight forward and, we felt, honest. The guys arrived at 9am and worked all day. They covered all landscaping and moved anything that needed to be away from the house. The cleaned up well afterward.

Mark Spandikow came out very promptly after our first phone call. He took notes and then provided me with a quote by mail. I had already had two estimates, so I was able to ask rather more detailed questions and had a good idea of what I wanted. His estimate for the basic roofing was the lowest. He offered me the ridgeline venting and the gable end flashing, which the other companies had not suggested and which I liked the sound of, so once those were added in the price was comparable to the basic quote for the other two companies. The quote was very well done, with everything itemized by price and broken down and the options given. They also included a sheet of terms, with drawings, so that I could easily see what was being referred to. I liked the fact that they brought in a dump truck to receive the torn off roof and took it away each day, so there was no dumpster sitting in the driveway. I was also pleased that the old roofing gets recycled. Mark Spandikow came back himself after the job was done, because I noticed that the furnace pipe looked rusty and he painted that for no extra charge so it matches the roof and the fan cover which I had asked to have painted. I think this is a smaller operation than the other two, because it did take them a little longer to get back to me initially and it took a little longer to schedule the job and to do the job than the other companies had estimated (2 days versus 1 for the actual work). However, I am entirely satisfied with the work and I did not have to wait an excessively long time at any stage. I felt that it was done quickly and well. Cleanup was excellent. They did a very good job catching any nails and bits of roof that had come down in the yard.

Very good. They were professional and reasonably priced. They did not try to sell me more service than was required. It rained the whole week that they were originally supposed to come out. I called them the following week to see when the would be out and they came the week after. They did a great job and I would use them again.

I thought the roof was leaking from a vent. I called and talked to Mark the owner and he gave me a quote of $200.00 over the phone. When Rich the installer came out and inspected the roof, he pointed out the problems. I agreed to the extra work and it was well worth it for the peace of mind during the spring rains. The total cost was $400.00. Rich was very professional and knowledgeable.

I have a house, which has an addition on it. Spandikow & Son Roofing re-proofed that part. When the addition was put on, I had leakage issues because of the way the contractor had done the work. I had probably a minimum of ten roofers come out for the job, but Spandikow & Son Roofing made the most sense to me. He did the best job in solving the problem. I give him a very glowing recommendation. He and his team were quick and clean. They found problems that they didn?t know were there, when they started the job. Honestly, I think they did the job for a much lower price than what it would?ve been done for. The problems were handled well and were corrected by them.

The whole process was a breeze from start to finish. Mark came over the same day I called, did an estimate and e-mailed it to me that day. The next day we discussed various venting ideas, I agreed to the price and told him to work me in when he could. Seven days later he called around 7:30 on a Thursday morning to see if it was OK to start that day and by the end of the day the roof was torn off and tar paper covered all three roofs. On Friday, 8 guys arrived and began shingling and dismantling the chimney. They put tarps on the ground to catch any debris that could fall. In the mean time Steve, Mark's son arrived and thought that the bricks that were delivered to reconstruct the chimney were too porous so he drove 25 miles out to Elgin to get replacements that he thought would be better for the job. By the end of the day, all roofing was done and the chimney was going up. On Saturday, Steve and their in house bricklayer came back and finished the brickwork and poured the new concrete cap on the chimney. On Monday, the in house metal guys came and spent a couple of hours removing the form from the chimney cap, flashing, spraying a sealer over the whole chimney and making sure everything was finished and cleaned up. When doing these types of projects, something always seems to come up but if it did I didn't notice anything. I'm a fix it type of person so I was on the roof during the work and they really did a nice thorough job. I also like that they recycle any materials removed from the job.
