They do excellent work. From past experience, it is very difficult to get a company to come to your house for a small repair job. This is the second time we had wind damage to our fascia aluminum siding and they do a great job. I highly recommend them.

We had been having many problems with our roof over the past 30 years. Jim knew how to make some adjustments to the roof to allow for some structural flaws that were causing us problems. He went above and beyond the call of duty. Work completed on time and professionally.

They were very professional, polite and the work was perfect.  They left the work spaces cleaner than when they arrived.

Everything went very well.  It took about 5 weeks for the door to come in but once it arrived Jim installed it immediately.  It looks great and service was awesome.

As noted above, we have worked with Philbin Home Improvement since 2009, in replacing the original windows in or 1920's Chicago bungalow. Jim helped us select an excellent window manufacturer (Marvin Windows) who was able to match the design and solid oak construction of the original windows, and with aluminum exterior cladding for permanent maintenance-free living.  Jim's pricing has been competitive, and the work provided by his crew and him has been outstanding throughout the entire project from 2009 through 2012. I would not hesitate to recommend his company to anyone.  Philbin Home Improvement also installs new roofing, and I look forward to working with Jim and his workers again, when we take on that project.

Excellent! They arrived on time and went to work. Stayed about 6 hours and cleaned up. The owner called me about 3 weeks later to ask me how I liked the windows and just to follow up. It could not have been any better. Money well spent. I did notice a huge difference with these windows on my heating bills and much quieter windows. Should my kids be in the market for windows, we know who we're gonna call. It will be Jim Philbin.

We heard of Jim through our neighbor who had their roof replaced, he was doing their house at the time. We were able to see his progress and it was beautiful, we needed work so we hired him to do a reroof for us. He did phenomenal work and is a jack of all trades. He pays so much attention to detail and customizes his work. The work looks like it improved the value of our house tenfold! I recommend Jim whole heartedly and he will not take advantage of you. He gained our confidence with his knowledge, he is personable and he is trustworthy.

His paperwork and installation was professional. He always communicated with me throughout the process. I would trust  him in my house anytime.

They were great!  They cleaned everything up wonderfully, and they got in and out very quickly given the size of the job.  They were very polite, not very noisy, and I enjoyed working with them.  I was completely satisfied with their service.

Our area was hit by a very bad storm, with winds in excess of 80 mph in early July. We had extensive damage, including a tree on our house, the loss of several trees in our yard, roof and siding/gutter damage from hail, and an overall real mess!
We contacted Philbin Home Improvement, who came out the very next day, and started surveying the damage. Mr Philbin and his workers on all areas that needed repair were very courteous, prompt and competent as they did the extensive work that needed to be done. Mr. Philbin worked closely with our insurance company in working out our problems in a way satisfactory to all concerned.
We highly recommend his workmanship as well as his friendly and courteous attitude while getting it all accomplished in a very prompt and professional way.
It was not nearly as long a process as we thought it might be, due to the excellent service we were given by Philbin Home Improvement.

The job was completed in less than a day and the work was well done. 

Jim Philbin's company specialty is siding and exterior work. Our overall impression is this company is that is run well, that he also takes a lot of pride in the satisfaction of its customers and in doing a great job meeting interesting challenges, and he has years of of expertise and willingness to keep learning and keeping up with his industry (siding, etc). We had very satisfactory initial conversation with Mr. Philbin,and he gave us quote on Vinyl that compared favorably to another company's quote. However, the other company was very pushy and demanding. Philbin, in contrast, seemed knowledgeable not only about the siding, but also on likely details necessary to the other issues relevant to the total job. We knew that we probably wanted more than just siding, since there were a variety of other issues we needed fixed in the long term. He listened carefully to understand what was important to us, let us take our time, while still making sure to give us the benefit of his experience - this meant that sometimes he politely disagreed because he could suggest alternatives and explain their advantages and disadvantages. Over time, we decided on the concrete board (Hardie board). He took the initiative to keep in contact with us over the months that it took us to decide what we really wanted, and always answered questions very professionally and with good suggestions and with attention to details. His crew showed up on time, and did a good job and the whole job took about two to three weeks. They cleaned up after themselves every day, and were very polite and courteous. They also took the time to do things safely (safety equipment, setting up carefully, etc). I would not suggest doing a job like this without checking each day on the progress and what had been done. (we would check when we came home from work). There were the usual communication issues that sometimes the crew decided on details differently than what we had decided previously with Philbin, but every time, Philbin made it right. He was not there every day, but he came by the job site many times to check on the progress himself, and of course, answered phone and email promptly. Overall, it was a very good experience, and we were very glad that we relied on his company to do the siding, as well as all the myriad other things that were needed on the house exterior.

We are more than pleased with the excellent work done by Philbin Home Improvement, and anticipate replacing more of our old windows in the spring, assuming the nation's economy continues to improve.

They did a fabulous job! The windows that we had put in had to be the exact windows the condo board approved. They knew exactly what we needed during the bidding process, ordered them, installed them in a timely manner, and put them in so they look just beautiful both from inside and outside! The price was competitive (we knew it would be expensive because the window had to be custom-made), the crew was tidy and uniformed, they showed up when they said they would and completed the job on time. We have recommended them to several of our neighbors and I know of other people in our building who have also used them. Everybody who I have spoken with regarding this company's reputation has been extremely favorable with the utmost regard for their work and professionalism. I love my windows!!

Even before we had a contract, the company worked with us to find the right type of shingle and color. The company started and finished on time. The workers cleaned up well after and we were very pleased with the work.
