We had a very positive experience with Handyman Connection in Glen Ellyn, a local business managed by Shad Martin. Shad acts as a contractor who, with folks in his office, arranges and schedules craftspeople to do the work. Work on our house and garage required a painter, carpenter, roofer, and power washer. The work was completed on schedule over the summer and was of very high quality. Communication was very good and the workmen were professional. In the current era of labor shortages, I don’t think we could have found such high quality and dependable workmen on our own. One does pay for these contractor services, of course—but the overall cost was reasonable and presented up front in the contract we signed—there were no surprises when the work was finished. We provided some of the paint and Shad and his team received a large discount (~30%) on materials that they had to purchase, so the cost of supplies was also reasonable. Handyman Connection guarantees the work for one year. We had altogether a positive experience at a reasonable price and we are very pleased with the result. You can’t go wrong with Handyman Connection of Glen Ellyn.

Kevin showed up on time and inspected the framework around the kitchen sliding door to the stairs leading down to our patio. After the inspection he explained a couple of ways that it could be repaired. We decided to have the sliding door replaced and the framework inside the wall inspected, and as it turned out, repaired. The work took two days and was completed to our satisfaction. He cleaned up and contracted to have all the debris hauled away, waiting on the disposal service to make sure it got done. I would no reservations on using his services again and probably will in the near future.

There was little plumbing involved and leaking afterwards, stopper was not installed(sink) I had to bring in a professional plumber afterwards for an additional$425.00 to get leaks to stop and repair piping .

We did a pretty extensive remodel of our kitchen, living room, and bedrooms. We are obsessed with the final outcome. they helped us from the beginning plan designs right down to the finishing touches. Had to defer staining of back entrance door, due to inclement weather conditions (this condition occurred when original work date was postponed). Toe kick repair needed to be redone a second time, due to unacceptable effort on the first attempt. Second effort was quite pleasant and exemplary as well as satisfactory. The service door to garage was done very well; it looks great, and opens and closes smoothly and seals tightly; only small problem with the latch-door needs to be closed with effort for latch to engage.

It went very well. Job came in under quote. Work was done as scheduled. There was some confusion over the deposit amount, but it was easily resolved. The handyman was very professional. The job looks great. After the repair you cannot tell there was ever any damage. The restaining job came out looking very well.
