Jim answered my call immediately and came out the same day to fix the problem. I had called 2 or 3 companies, but he is the only one that responded in a timely manner. Jim is a really nice guy, is in business for himself (like my retired friend), and replaced the draft inducer motor quickly. I am happy to have another great HVAC man to rely on.

All work was done to our complete satisfaction and on time. Pricing is fair. I would highly recommend Countryside Comfort for any HVAC work.

At approximately midnight I noticed that the house seemed colder than it should be and checked the furnace.  It had stopped heating - the fan was working but the gas was not igniting.  It was scheduled to go down to 4 below that night so I called Countryside and left a message.  Jim called back in a few minutes and asked me a few questions about what the furnace was doing to help him figure what might be wrong.  He had me read him a part number and he then made sure he had a replacement on his truck.  He then came over and fixed the furnace (it needed an ignitor).  I was very grateful that he was willing to get out of bed and make an emergency call in the wee small hours.
Jim has been my heating and AC guy for a few years now and has always fixed what was wrong in a timely manner and at a fair price, but I considered this call to be above and beyond the call of duty.

Jim was thorough. In addition to cleaning the furnace, he also did the following:
1) Tighten the gas pipes which were loose.
2) Fix a problem that made filter replacement difficult.
3) Gave me a new filter for free and recommended a new type of filter.
He was also honest and told me that my furnace was clean and probably did not need another inspection for 2-3 years.

This was the first time that I used them, and the experience was good. They were on time and fixed the problem. I was very happy with them. Their price seemed to be reasonable, although I don’t have anything to compare it with. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future if necessary.

Had Countryside out to perform a check of our two air-conditioning systems that were installed in Sept/Oct of 2010.  As they were installed in the cooler months, the installing contractor suggested that we have them tested for proper refrigerant pressure in warmer months.  We wanted to establish a relationship with a local company rather than the original contractor who was some distance from our home.

I called Countryside during a warm spell in mid May to check out the system.  Jim answered right away and advised that he would be able to check the system the next day; However, as the temperatures were due to fall again, he suggested that we wait until a significant warm up so that the system could be properly tested under full air-conditioning load.  He scheduled a visit for June 1st and stated that he would follow-up on May 31st if the temperatures were not planning to cooperate so that he could reschedule.

The weather played along, and Jim showed up on time on 6/1 and confirmed that our system was set up perfectly and that all pressures were in spec.   He was friendly, courteous, and willing to answer any questions that I had about my system.

When I asked about having him check out my boiler, he stated that he specializes in forced-air systems and although he did not handle boiler work, he recommended another contractor for boiler and hot water work whose reputation and workmanship were in line with his own.  This manner of recommendation goes a long way with me, as it is not simply recommending a friend or "some guy", but someone with whom he shares a level of quality and is willing to hang his own reputation on.

As both of our A/C systems are new, I do not expect to need his services any time soon, but I will have him perform my  "A/C Spring Start-up" service as we move forward and call him immediately any unforseen problems.

Air conditioner stopped working. I called several people but Countryside was the only one to respond the same day and come to the house to appraise the situation within a couple hours. It was obvious we needed to replace the compressor. Countryside recommended a unit which was sized correctly for our situation (square feet, location within the condo building, floor, etc). Replacement unit was delivered and installed the next day.

Our furnace was condemned when a heat exchanger crack was discovered during regular service call on a Thursday. We asked half dozen local HVAC firms for estimates. Countryside responded the morning after (Friday) our call with an inspection and estimate. Other firms' responses were also good, all responding within 3 days (after the weekend). The Countryside owner answered all questions about different systems and costs fully and immediately. His bid was not the lowest (a competitor submitted a low-ball bid on less capable system) but we felt confident in Countryside's estimate. Our furnace was delivered and installed on Wednesday in the week following the failure of our old furnace. Couldn't ask for better service and expect to use this provider for all service calls in the future.

Project went extremely well. Asked Countryside to take out old furnace prior to another contractor doing work in our crawl space. They worked with us and the other contractor and then came back once the other work was completed to install the new furnace.

JIM WAS ON TIME, CLEAN, AND VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE. HE HAD OUR PROBLEM FIXED WITHIN AN HOUR. HE DID NOT TRY TO 'SELL' US ANYTHING, OR FIX MORE THAN WAS NECESSARY EVEN THOUGH OUR UNIT IS 16 YEARS OLD. I WILL USE HIM IN THE SPRING TO CHECK OUR A/C UNIT.
