Great, fast and efficient

The keys worked perfectly. However, I had to get out of the driveway to my rental. I told Pat that. He remained in his huge truck. He could have pulled up and off to the side where the driveway offered plenty of room. Or he could have backed up into the street to let me out. But what happened instead is that he pulled up just a little, then I pulled up in preparation to back out. Then he stopped. I waited. Then started he started backing up and then I backed up. These maneuvers continued several times back and forth. These absurd maneuvers were somewhat similar to when two people pass in a hall and do a little dance, one goes one way, the other goes another way then they keep going back and forth. In the end I backed up and scraped the logo off Pat's truck. He charged me $350 for it. Honestly we should have split the bill since it was both our faults. But he made me pay the whole thing and started sending me threatening emails. I was already really low on funds since I am doing a number of other very expensive repairs required by Village of Schaumburg. My lesson learned is that next time I need to get out and someone is blocking my way with their enormous truck, I'll physically get out of my vehicle and tell them to please move.

Pat responded when I called, discussed, and texted him pictures. He called back the next day after viewing the pictures to go over what might be needed. When scheduled day and time came, he was running late, but did let me know, most appreciated! He arrived, respected the quality of the door and was able to provide what was needed even so far as to have a needed part that matched the older look of the existing hardware. Most appreciated was his patience and time he took to insure the job was done properly and to his customers expectations. He was very, very, very (!!) patient while I had a discussion with my husband on the need for a new deadbolt, even though the old lock was fixed and functional. He was efficient, knowledgeable, pleasant and patient and the cost I consider was reasonable. I will most certainly hire him again and will recommend him to anyone in need of his services.

He was delayed at a previous appointment, but called at the appointed time to let me know when he would arrive. Something I really appreciate when contracting for services. I contacted Pat after reading several great reviews on Angie's List. He was on vacation but happily took the call and got me scheduled. I really wanted the locks changed before we slept in our new house and Pat agreed to come out on a Sunday and didn't even charge us an extra fee for doing so. He was extremely personable and his prices were fair. He completed the work within a reasonable amount of time and cut extra keys for us on site. We will definitely call him if we're in need of a locksmith again.
