Greg gained our trust over a few weeks of phone calls and meetings (Trust is our #1 must have when finding a Financial Adviser).  I've had three financial planners over the past 10 years and they all seemed to put me into Mutual Funds, and that was it.  Greg, being independent, has the ability to put us in the right investments for us, not the just big commission/high hidden fee Mutual funds the other guys do.  After we gave him our financial data and personal expense worksheet, he entered the info into his computer program that crunched the data.  The algorithm produced a retirement age for us.  From there, he showed us how making different choices with our money could change our retirement age (for better or worse).  If I buy a Ferrari, I'll have to work for 5 more years, or if our kids get college scholarships we could retire 4 years earlier.  This is great for any large purchase decision making we need to make.  Before we buy something, Greg, could just enter that info into the "Play Area" of the program to show us how it effects our future money and retire age.  This is exactly what we wanted...a visual of how our decisions today make an impact on our future.  That's it.  Also, he genuinely wants to help you achieve your goals, then consequently he will achieve his too.
