Whenever you tear into an older home (37 year old house) you are never quite sure what you will find. Plus, as the project took shape and we were no longer looking a a drawing, we changed our mind about a couple small things. The MJ crew was great to work with about making changes to ensure we were happy with the finished project. Our home did not have the proper plumbing for the bathroom (instead of under the floor, the sewage lines ran out the wall to the septic tank) so half of our project cost was for tearing up the concrete floor and installing plumbing that should have been installed when the house was built. The project took a little longer than anticipated but Jeb and his crew saw that by the end of the first week we were able to move the washer & dryer back so we could do some laundry without having to run to the laundrymat. Thankfully, a friend had an appliance dolly he could loan us for the 3 week duration which made it easy to move the washer and dryer in and out when workers were coming and needed to be in that area.

MJ Construction, owned by Jeb Kennel, was the perfect choice for our job. Jeb and his crew of 5 (who are his employees, not subcontractors) were clean cut, extremely professional in their interactions, and best of all were construction professionals--which meant they knew what they were doing and performed quality work. After discussing some concerns we had about about the underlying structure of our roof with Jeb, we also opted to have some additional work done to correct some framing  deficiencies from when the house was built. This was an additional cost (not reflected in the price listed here) but was very reasonable for the amount of labor involved. Prior to signing a contract with Jeb, we received a very detailed estimate. And he provided references. As the project progressed and some additional structural deficiencies came to light that needed correction, Jeb provided an estimate for us to approve before work commenced on those issues. Each day  the area around our home was thoroughly cleaned, including running a magnet to pick up nails. We liked that Jeb used the latest in roofing materials that were appropriate for application on our roof. Our home looks better than ever. We highly recommend MJ Construction.
