Their work was okay but their integrity is lousy. Unfortunately, we accidently sent two full payment checks to the company for services rendered which resulted in overpaying Hardscape Construction for the job. Hardscape Construction admits to receiving both checks but has not returned the overpaid amount to us; even after we supplied them with a copy of their proposal and the two cancelled checks showing that they processed it through their account. Hardscape initially said they could not get to the bank to resolve the issue because they were currently in the middle of a project working long odd hours on a project. I found that to be odd because they also stated that they had to consult with their office book keeper on the matter plus most bank transactions can be verified via computer or telephone. The second excuse was that it was our fault that the bill was overpaid. I clarified we are both at fault. We made the mistake of sending a second check to pay for the project and Hardscape Construction should not have cashed the second check. It would have been courteous of them to return the check with a note of explanation. At this point we simply want our money back from Hardscape and we do not want to hear anymore of their excuses!
