It went very well. They showed up when they said they would and did the job they were hired to do. With the exception of a few roofing nails I found in the grass after they left.

It didn't go very well. Over the course of the project, they went from being polite to quite pushy. The end result looks nice, but it's since started showing water damage in our entry way. Also, the work did not solve an ice dam problem. Further, I initially faxed him a competitor's bid and he verbally agreed to honor that price. However, afterward he refused to honor it. He actually put a mechanic's lean on the roof until I paid the difference.

"The review that Todd left is completely inaccurate. Our representative went to [member name] house to meet with his insurance co who had previously denied an insurance claim of his for wind and hail, we spend hours of our time to convince the company to give him full coverage which we were successful at. At that point [member name] decided that he wanted to haggle over the price when it was communicated that we would be working for the insurance proceeds before hand (something that he had failed to obtain on his own). I was never faxed at any point a competitors estimate. We on multiple occasions on the phone came to an agreement on the price and work to be performed and [member name] continually came back and wanted to change that agreement. There was never any notification that the property was leaking, ice dam damage, or any water stains were forming or we would have returned to fix that immediately. The mechanics lien was placed on his home because [member name] didn't feel that he needed to pay us the total price for the roof that we negotiated with his insurance company. The siding job was still given to another company when we are the ones who obtained the money for [member name] through his insurance company who once again denied him the claim before we got involved. All that said, We would have rather not even gotten involved with this type of customer due to his constant complications, making agreements then changing his mind in an emotional manner on several occasions, and lack of thankfulness for obtaining all the money to pay for this job for him when his attempts failed."

Housetoppers did a great job from start to finish. David was very upfront with us and punctual from the first phone call to the final payment. The workers were very skilled and knowledgeable. They completed the job on time and cleaned up very well. Over all Housetoppers is a very professional experienced company that I would refer to anyone.

This included applying new insulating wrap on home. Project looks great. David identified the storm damage and worked with the insurance company directly. As a result, the cost of the service was entirely covered by insurance. Without his assistance I would not have identified or worked to correct the problem. This has helped to maintain the value of my home. The team was able to accomplish the project with no damage to landscaping. I have requested a quote from David for additional work which will not be covered by insurance. I'm very satisfied.

There were a few issues with our experience. The shingles that were installed were an entirely different brand than what we were quoted. The owner said that he changed brands in between when we received our quote and when we scheduled the job- and that the new brand was comprable. We were disappointed that this wasn't explained when we booked the project. Also, they used our power supply on the exterior of the house without checking with us- which kept blowing the fuse. Additionally, the dumpster company that they contracted left a crack in our driveway. To which the owner, David, did not feel that he was responsible for- and left us to "work it out" with his contractor. We felt this was unprofessional that we were basically hung out to dry- and deal with a company that we didn't hire. That being said, the actual roof looks great, and the gentlemen doing the roof install seemed like they knew what they were doing and were respectful.
