Faux Finishing and Painting by Lori Ambler

I can’t imagine it going any better. Lori protected our countertops and appliances from over spray. Produced a quality job of painting our cabinets.

It went great! She put up plastic and used fans to draw the overspray away from the rooms. She taped and covered all the counters and things that she didn't want to paint. That took two days all by itself. I felt comfortable leaving the house for appointments while she was there because I knew there would be no problem. She even took my dog for a walk! I would highly recommend Lori. She is also quite an artist so she can do all kinds of other specialty painting.

Lori accompanied me to the local flooring store where we looked at a number of products and then decided on one.  I'm looking forward to Lori coming back out after the flooring is installed to help me select the appropriate faux finish to compliment my kitchen.

Lori did an amazing job.  My kitchen cabinets look brand new and yet, they are 22 years old.  The transformation is astounding.  Lori is talented, knows exactly what to do.  She is neat, professional, punctual and creates a finish product that is beautiful.  I highly recommend Lori.  I hope our paths cross again.

Lori painted an awesome full wall stencil & faux ceiling in our Sitting Room. She has great design skills & knows exactly what will look amazing with your surrounding decor. She's skilled in a lot of different types of faux & has the sample boards to prove it.
Also, last year I wanted my kitchen island painted white. Had a painter tell me he specializes in cabinets, they're no big deal, nobody beats his price etc. They came out ok (looked no different than if I just painted it myself) but within two months the baseboards were chipped off & the old stain started bleeding through. Lori came in, stripped everything down & refinished (paint & glazed) the island. The cabinets look like they came right out of the factory with the finish & not painted. The paint she used is as hard as a rock & eight months later they look the same as the day they were finished.
Definitely recommend her for any faux work and especially cabinet refinishing.

Lori was FANTASTIC and did an incredible job! Our shelving was basic white which I wanted changed to a darker, distressed finish to go better with the brick.  When we did our initial consultation, she took her time, asked questions, showed me pictures and by the end she knew exactly what I was looking for. She explained the process and exactly what she was going to do and how long it would take to do it.  When she came to do the shelving, she was so professional.  She taped off everything and used drop cloths on the floor and all the furniture surrounding the shelves.  She went over again what she was going to do.  Once she was finished for the day, she told me when she would be back and what she was going to do.  She was also very detailed and artistic.  If she thought of something that would make it look even better, she would bring it up to me and we would decide whether or not to go that route. She was also very meticulous and set her bar high and made sure that her work went above and beyond expectations.  Our shelving was done right before Thanksgiving and she made sure that the project was finished on time as we were hosting Thanksgiving at  our house.  Everyone who came to Thanksgiving, couldn't believe the transformation and loved it.  I am planning to use her to do our dining room and any other room in our house that my husband will let me!

Painted bedroom furniture in a java (dark brown) color. Furniture looks new. Great way to add life to an old piece of furniture.
