About us

B.Schultz Const.& Remod. is a General Contracting and Carpentry company. I deal with many different types of Home Remodeling projects. I have been 'in business' since the spring of 2008, however I have been in this particular field for a majority of the last 20+ years. When the project calls for it, I do use subcontractors that I have handpicked over the years. References are available upon request. Some of the jobs that I do are Kithen and Bath Remodels, Room Additions. Windows and Doors as well. All types of Interior and Exterior Trim and Repairs. Some Electrical and Plumbing projects. I am insured, as are my subcontractors. My estimates are free of charge. I try to estimate each project accordingly. Larger projects will usuall be a 'set price'. While some 'smaller' projects will sometimes be priced as 'Time & Material'. But I will always try to estimate each job as fair, and as accurately, as possible. He's our handyman, and he's been awesome! His prices are reasonable. He's very friendly and cleans up every day, even if the job has yet to be finished. He's been responsive and provides great input, since he's had so much experience. I can't say enough great things about him!

I first met Bill when he was working for a larger home builder where he remodeled our kitchen, reworked our electrical, did trim and finish work on our addition and built our front porch on our 1912 home. We were so impressed with his work we have had him come back to do a variety of other jobs such as refinishing our basement. creating a laundry room and office, install windows and trim . His workmanship is excellent and he is creative when looking at projects. He always listened to my concerns about staying with the historical details of our house and was willing to work with reclaimed materials when we could.

Scope of work took over one week not including weekends which was known. Work was exceptional with some ideas suggested by Bill Shultz which were appreciated. Majority of work was done by Bill and his brother Brian with finalized taping,mudding,and sanding done by Mark whom Bill knows. Bill went to great effort to match existing wood trim in competing this project and the final result was fantastic. Work area was always cleaned up by end of day and the whole project went off smoothly! Minor additional work was requested of Bill during this project with acceptance of fact for additional monies not part of the original contract to which he kindly did.

There were approx. 4 strips of framing that needed to be replaced. All were rotted over the years from snow and rain. Bill came and provided a quote, but I really appreciated that he offered a simple yet funcitional suggestion to remove approx. 1/16" of the wood at the bottom so it wasn't sitting on the concrete. This way it wouldn't soak up the moisture and rot again. Bill spent the time needed to do a great quality job, and ensured, all details were cared for. When done, the framing looked great. Would definetly consider him for furture jobs.

Bill served as the general contractor; he did an outstanding job both managing subcontractors (plumbing, tile work, and drywall) and performing the carpentry and electrical work himself. Bill was excellent to work with, providing professional input and accommodating changes. The job came out beautifully.
