S.J. Gallagher Construction

He made a great and seemly reasonable proposal and listed all the work he would do but clearly meant to deceive me with the quality of the work that would be done. His proposal states "provide and place soil stack pipes flashing with new" not replace the correct stack pipes. The roof leaked each time it rained heavily and into the kitchen because he replaced the pipes with ones that didn't fit properly. I called several times and left messages and they only called me back when I left a vague message. Once the woman realized that I was a customer expecting them to stand behind their work, she stated that she would have to retrieve the file and someone call me. It has been about 5 months and no call back yet. I also sent them a letter requesting their attention to the needed repairs with no response. I had to pay $350 to have it properly repaired by a much more reputable company. When this company was here doing the repairs, they noticed that the shingles were incorrectly nailed on and that many work damaged by their walking on it. The stacks that were on their were not correctly placed on there even it they had been the correct ones. The repairing company also noticed many other problems that will effect the longevity of the roof. The men that were working for this S.J. Gallagher company were very well mannered and seemed careful about cleaning up their work but the owner, Shell, was up on the roof with them directing their every move during the entire project. I was GREATLY disappointed with this man and his company as well as the fact that will/would not stand behind their work. I would never do business with them or anyone connected with them again. I just hope that my roof will last until I can afford to replace it with one that is put on correctly.
