Child Care - Center
The Laugh and Learn in Mascoutah has been open for just over one year. We switched our youngest daughter there shortly after they opened. She goes two days a week currently.
The building is new and so it is in very good shape. The building is secure and you must have a code to get beyond the lobby. (Believe it or not, when we looked at other daycares, some of them were not this secure.) The building is painted very cute on the inside; very bright and clean. The classrooms are clean, big, uncluttered, well organized, and have lots of toys. (Also, we frequently see the toys being cleaned - which always makes me feel better.) There are separate playgrounds on the outside for the smaller kids and the older kids with many age-appropriate toys/playground equipment.
The owner, director and teachers are very nice. They have been very flexible when I have needed to switch days. They have lots of cute activities, art projects etc. for the kids to do. I have noticed that the older kids have had lots of fun field trips planned over the summer. There is very good communication to let parents know when a child in the center has come down with an illness. The price of childcare is very affordable and compared well with our previous center and the other centers that we looked at.
Our previous daycare closed, and since our older children had attended that facility for 6 years, it was very hard to leave it and the wonderful teachers that worked there. However, I am very happy with Laugh and Learn and glad that we chose this facility for our daughter. She really likes it there, and that is one of the most important things!
