"It was a pleasure to work with [member name removed] and we are thrilled that she is so happy with the landscaping project, and we appreciate her positive review."
"When we were contacted by Angie’s List about [Member name removed] complaint it was the first we had heard of this issue. When the job was completed, [Member name removed] personally signed off on the job and paid in full. Had he contacted us, we would have worked with him regarding the citation and any problems that he thinks resulted from the work we completed in the spring of 2013. The contract clearly states that all work comes with a one year warranty. Over the past few years, Park Ridge has changed what type of work requires a permit – adding things that previously did not require permits, at the time we did the work, a permit was not required. We are a registered and insured contractor with the village, and routinely secure permits for the work we do. When we were contacted about the drainage problem,[Member name removed] had standing water in the back yard, even during dry periods when it has not rained. To help alleviate the situation, we regarded the yard to drain towards the street, per village requirements. The grading worked, except for the fact that the sump pump discharged into the yard nearly continuously, so that even on a dry day, the yard was so wet that [Member name removed] children could not play in the yard. After our work was complete, [Member name removed] had the sump pump attached to the storm sewer to get water out of the back yard."
"Thank you for the great review! We hope that if you ever need anything else, you will call us again so that we may continue to work together."
"Thank you for the great review. It means a lot to us when customers are happy with the work we do and are willing to provide testimonials."
"We really appreciate such a positive review from a long-time, valued customer. It is our goal to continue to meet or exceed these expectations each year, improving service. Thank you for your business and loyalty!"
"We at Tommy Pollina are grateful to the member for recognizing our hard work and dedication to superior customer service."
"We at Tommy Pollina are very disappointed in the member's allegations. We had a contract with him, the work was completed and the member refused to pay for the services rendered and plants installed. Joe and Kellee made repeated calls to him not only about the open balance, but asking if they could work towards a solution that would satisfy him. He did not return calls, and on January 19, 2009, he hung up Kellee when she did have a chance to speak with him. This reinforces his unwillingness to work with us to a mutually agreeable solution. In 27 years of business, we have never lost 50% of the plant material we installed on a job. If he has truly lost half of his plants after two years, this is most likely due to inadequate customer care rather than inappropriate plant selection. If a new plant is going to die due to a problem with the plant or inappropriate siting, it is typically within the first season. In addition to this, we guarantee all of our plant material for one year – if he had paid his balances, all of his plants would have been covered and replaced. He claims that Kellee is “very inexperienced” yet she holds a degree in horticulture from the University of Montana and had several years of experience at the time she worked with him. We only hire qualified, experienced staff members. If our customer service and product quality was as bad as this member claims, Mr. Pollina would not have been able to sustain his business for almost 30 years, maintaining a client base from his earliest days in business and steadily adding to it over time."
