When I had a blocked drain line and backup in my basement on a Sunday evening and I was unable to reach my preferred plumber, I called Larry's, who I had used several years before. They came when promised, but the plumber who arrived spent most of his time trying to sell me on services I didn't want or need, like a cleanout in my front yard at $5,000. I also had to get irate with him before he would work on the segment of the drain line where I (correctly) deduced the blockage to be. He insisted on opening up a cleanout and running the rodder towards the street despite the fact that manually triggering the ejector pump showed that section of the line to be flowing smoothly.

Trap under sink developed a hole with water draining into the apartment one floor below. Called late Friday afternoon-name provided by Board of Managers. Company rep told my mother (82 years) not to use the sink and they would send someone Monday 8-11 am. Due to weather activity during the weekend and flooded homes in the area, they called Mon. morning and stated they would be available later in the day. Arrived in early afternoon and fixed trap for $258. We asked to also remove toilet seat and install seat purchased. They charged $120 for this service. Owners in apt. below not available to review damage. Called next morning to request explanation of the charges. Informed that typical "book" charge for toilet seat install is $150 and given discount to $120. Informed rep that this was unprofessional. They took advantage of an elderly woman. Would never do business with them again; add to Angie's List. Owner called next day and reduced price $25 to $95. Have to pay WC, benefits, etc.
