After checking out vanities at big box stores (shabbily built) and custom cabinet makers (beautiful but very expensive), I decided on a lark to check out this local shop. I was pleasantly surprised to find a wide range of cabinet grades. The owners were very knowledgeable, never pushy, and spent a good deal of time explaining the different cabinet lines to me. Hating to make the decision without my husband's input, we came back on a Saturday for another look. The owner, Frank, stayed well past closing time showing my husband all our choices and discussing the pros/cons of each one. We ultimately decided to go with 2 Mid Continent cabinets with upgraded features. (Superior Cabinets has specials from time to time on upgrades so be sure to look for signs!) Delivery was quick. We opted to pick up the vanities ourself so our contractor could install them easily. Superior also offers installations services if you need them.
Our only problem with the vanities was that the drawers didn't seem to fit squarely into the openings. My husband went back to the store and talked to Frank about the issue. Frank was very responsive and showed him how to correct the problem. My husband is very handy so he didn't think twice about doing it himself. I'm pretty confident that Frank would have sent someone to fix the problem if my husband couldn't do it.
Mid Continent cabinets are a middle of the line grade cabinet but they look beautiful installed in our bathrooms. We chose to install granite countertops (not available through Superior....they do have quartz, however....just not in our remodeling budget!). After the job was finished, I challenge anyone to distinguish these cabinets from some of the pricier cabinets I saw elsewhere.
