Southland Steam Carpet Cleaning

Cleaner arrived when scheduled. As always he was very pleasant and professional. Steam cleaning, no chemicals. The rugs come out beautifully. This is the 5 - 6 time that I have had them clean the rugs and will have him on the future. Everything is well done.

The carpet steam cleaning service was performed punctually on a Saturday morning in the condo I was moving into on Sunday. I was told the carpet would be dry in approximately 6 hours. I came 6 hours later and the carpet was still very wet. It had been raining that day, so I understand the air was humid, but the carpet was still not quite dry the next morning when I moved in, even after opening windows when in the evening when the weather dried out. This resulted in a rust stain on the carpet from the bottom of a file cabinet that was moved in on Sunday morning, and apparently placed by the movers on a spot that was still damp after 24 hours. I didn't know of this rust stain until the file cabinet happened to be moved a few weeks later. I can't get it out. When I returned to check on the carpet on Saturday evening, I noticed a large pink spot in the living room. It had not been there prior to the steam cleaning. I called Patrick O'Dell. He told me that sometimes steam cleaning pulls stains up from the carpet, stains that may have been cleaned from the surface, but sunk in. He came out to see the spot and tried to clean it, but could not remove it. He then asked me to call him in 3 weeks, and he would bring another product out and try to remove the spot. I called in 3 weeks and left a message, but did not receive a response. I called again a few days later, and still did not receive a response. I am very disappointed with the lack of response to my phone messages. So, whereas the initial service was punctual, the follow-up was not.

Everything went well. When he thought he might be a few minutes late, he called to let me know. He explained about rug cleaning and what he was doing.

I have used this company for over thirteen years now and I would be lost if I called anyone else. When the carpet dries, if the stains are still visible, they will come out again to clean at no additional cost to me. I have recommended this company to my friends and they have used him too.
