Hanlon Construction business is the best. I've learned the hard way that you get what you pay for. You don't go to a used car dealer to buy a new Cadillac. Likewise, don't hire someone just because their cheap. Top quality craftsmanship is worth it, and Hanlon is top quality. Integrity is Hanlon's middle name and that means he does the job right. He uses the best experienced tradesman. Evreything is on the level. Worth every dime.

It was great. Did really good work. All our neighbors and friends that have come to see it like it. The electric guys were very curtious. We had a leak from the bathroom to the kitchen. They let us know what we could replace to add value to the house. Steve the project manager was very quick to respond. We are planning to hire them next Spring. Ive recommended them to my friends and neighbors.

Very unprofessional. Took 2 months to startr repair when my roof was covered with a tarp. They promised 2 to 3 weeks. They contracted inexperienced roofers for Owen's Corning. I was reassured by Kevin that I was getting a professional installation and upgraded corners They didn't complete the project. The ridge on the roof which we paid extra wasn't done properly. It has gaps and is against manufacturers recommendations. We contracted for new drip edge and it was never done, but I was charged for it. The added charges for work that wasn't done. there are dips in the roof where the tree fell and leaves are piling. I have an insurance claim but can't submit the bill because it's fraud and I don't want to get in trouble. The worst unreliable, unerhical, dishonest business I have ever worked with. I reported my complaints to owner John Hanlon and he keeps saying, I'm a Christian and he'll fix it. He still hasn't come out. I have cracks in my cinder block. My roof is leaning where there was most impact. The wood under the soffit is crushed. The insurance covered.these damages and they weren't fixed, but I am being charged. This company is not to be trusted.

Contract was signed with ?James P. Chojnacki?, ?James Chojnacki?, ?Jim Chojnacki? owner of Castle Exteriors, 3824 W. 147th Street, Midlothian, IL 60445. PO Box 683, Chicago Heights IL 60412, 708-597-9171. Castle Exteriors was sold to Hanlon Construction, www.hanlons.com , 865 Basswood Lane, Frankfort IL 60423. Jim Chojnacki and/or crews work for Hanlon Construction.  
-> Paperwork was completed along with a payment.
-> A new roof was installed. This was a tear off.
-> Later that same year, damage to my roof was visible. Shingles were buckling on all sides. I called and left several messages asking for a prompt reply- no calls returned.
-> Others familiar with construction have given their opinion that my roof was not properly installed. This includes a seasoned roofing professional who points directly to poor workmanship.
-> A written warranty is still in force.
-> There has been limited correspondence but no admittance of error or corrective action.
-> My roof will be prematurely replaced due to poor workmanship and a worthless contractor warranty.
-> It is my opinion, with any potential contractor; a copy of their license should be secured and verified to be valid. In addition, you may consider checking out any potential contractor through the following agencies,
1. Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation/ Division of Professional Regulation.
2. Office of the Illinois Attorney General/ Consumer Protection Bureau
3. Federal Trade Commission
4. Better Business Bureau Headquarters

They did a very good job for us at a reasonable price. They gave us an estimate. John Hand who runs the company sorted out the figure for quality windows and they did work for that and it turned out to be true. They came in and they were here when they were supposed to be. They came in and placed them. They replaced 9 windows and they came in and got the job done in a day. They did what they said they were going to do. They were here when they were supposed to be here and they did a good job. The people who were here were willing to explain and they were very co-operative.

He did a good job and did excellent work. We had a lot of compliments from our neighbors about the work. There were a couple of issues but they took care of them right away. I dealt with him on the phone or via email and he got back to me when necessary. He was here when the work started and he would come out periodically with his workers. He reviewed the work when it was completed so I could not have asked for anything better. I will use him again in the future.

The job went great - mainly due to John's organization and the the consistent excellence of his various crews/subcontractors. The siding guys showed up early on the appointed day. The had everything they needed in the truck, went about their business expertly. They really knew what they were doing and bent all the custom made flashing on the spot. I was pretty impressed and was going to buy them lunch but the were finished and gone before noon.

A few weeks later, after a rain or two, I scheduled the inside work. Again the lone guy that showed up to demo/repair the insulation and ceiling was prompt, courteous, and had everything he needed in his truck. He cleaned up after he finished. He was finished just after noon.

At 1PM, the taping crew of three showed up. The worked fast and the repair was virtually dustless. They were able to apply three coats of mud in about 5 hours by using fast setting compound. These guys were excellent - courteous, prompt, craftsmen who also cleaned up afterwards.

All of the subs that showed up had worked for John for many years. They all did excellent work and I am very pleased with the job that each of them did. They made the work look so easy, I suspect I overpaid for their services.

I'm reusing them. I didn't do my patio door then, I'm having them do that now.

They did an excellent job, and everything went perfectly well. They did everything they said they were going to do on time and professionally. I think their price was okay. I would use them again in the future if necessary.

They did a good job for us and it was good price. He was responsive and did a neat job on the windows installations. The guy who runs the company is John Hanlon.We looked for local contractor and checked them out for business, in the business bureau. We got several quotes with his quote and so we decide to go with John Hanlon. I will use him in future.

The men were finished in a few days, so within two weeks of signing the contract, everything was finished.
