The team of 4 worked diligently on all of the projects described above.  Their work was exceptional in all cases.  I had reservations about the paint in the family room and they made recommendations for me.  They even changed the paint when I changed my mind - and they were PATIENT, which was amazing!
In 2 instances I overheard them reviewing their own work and going back and improving on what they had already done.
I have recommended this company to many people and I continue to do so.  I hope to have them back to do additional projects in the near future.

This is a difficult review to write. Mark was good on all the exterior work and had a very good counter top guy. But his cabinet and back splash work was horrendous. His schedule was terrible and he actually would call and complain about being fatigued because of other jobs he took which delayed us while in mid job causing tremendous inconvenience for SIX WEEKS. I had to fire him. But the lesson here is to hire people only for what they are good at and experienced. As it is now I am having to find someone to finish the deck he started on last fall. We had planned on him coming back this spring. We had paid invoices on the spot as work was completed. Mark accepted a settlement at termination.

Initially I was a little concerned when the owner was a couple of days later than promised to examine the project nd took a couple more days to provide the estimate. The estimate was very reasonable and the work was scheduled within a few days. The painting crew was excellent and went well beyond the requirements of the contract. In addition to power washing the house, they flushed out all of the gutters and downspouts. They repaired homeowner caulking and overpainting. The painting work was very professional and of excellent quality. The biggest problem they had was running out of the mixed color paint on Saturday afternoon and having to come back to finish up a small area Monday morning.

Quite well -- the finished product is outstanding.

In September I requested a quote from Mark Finney of Finney Decorating, which I found in our Angie?s List September issue. I had received other estimates for the remodel of our family room so I had a basis for comparison. Mark?s estimate was very reasonable and he even had other suggestions to improve the look of the room. During our discussion, I mentioned other improvements I wanted to make, which I believed would require different contractors. Mark inspected the doors, light fixtures, eaves repair ? even a plumbing problem, and described how he could do those jobs as well as the original room remake. His crew arrived on time, set to work, and continued each day until ALL of the work was completed. He even brought in a special door installer to guarantee the install was done correctly. The degree of skill from every single tradesman was outstanding! The painters weren?t painters ? they were perfectionists! I watched, (silently, I might add) as one of them critiqued his patching and priming, declared it needed more, and started all over. I would not even have noticed the bumps or bulges he caught and insisted on correcting to his own satisfaction. Did I mention perfectionist? Two days into the project, it became obvious that the work would take longer than originally estimated. I understood completely, since very little about this fixer-upper house has gone smoothly in the past. Their professional attitude, and regard for my home was very reassuring! I had such confidence in Mark Finney, and Mark and Jason, and their work ethic confirmed that impression. I look forward to having FINNEY DECORATING do further projects on my home, and I welcome the opportunity to recommend them to others.

He had very poor customer service skills. The color that I wanted was not available in any other paint chart. I went and picked a color that I thougth we would like. The day came when they were putting the paint on. Iw as standing there and told him that the color wouldn't work. He ignored me and continued to paint. I said it a second time and he continued to paint. I called my husband out, and my husband told him that we didn't like the color and to stop now. He got upset. I went back in the house. I had to go and get in the car with him right at that moment and go to the paint store to pick out a color. There were cars parked in the driveway so I told him it would be just a minute. He said he didn't have a minute to wait, and that we had to go right now. I don't feel that you talk to customers that way. I took a seperate car to the paint store because I was so irritated. He said that I had to understand that he was paying two other guys $30.00 an hour. There was other things that needed to be done, and I asked if he could call them and ask them to do those things while we were getting the paint. His team does good work, but he is very unprofessional. I would not recommend him to anyone else. The price was good.

They did outstanding work. It went very well and they worked very well with my schedule. They did fantastic work.

We had some delays from the beginning due to weather, mostly rain. The pressure washing alone made the deck look great. There were some questions about the stain color; he was patient with our uncertainty. Once the deck was stained, there were a few areas that needed to be touched up. Other than that, we really appreciated his professionalism and felt good going with the company. I'm glad we did--our deck and fence look great!

I called Mark from information on Angie's List and he was quick to respond. Upon receiving his verbal quote, I gave him permission to do the work as discussed and he then provided a written quote when arriving the first day. I wasn't sure if the quote was high or low, but it seemed reasonable and he appeared to be someone I could trust. Overall the job went well and he and his workers were very polite and strive to please.

This is the third project that Mark has finished for me over the past, one and a half years. He and his crew are extremely courteous and professional. They show up when they say they will show up and do the job they say they will do. They are trustworthy; in fact, we had to leave them with our garage door open to take our newborn to the hospital for a test and we didn't have any worries. They completed the job during a week of on and off rain, but they maximized their time and even came over the weekend to get the majority of the house painting done. Mark knows that customer satisfaction is of utmost importance, and he exhibits this in his work.
