1. DID NOT COMMUNICATE A SCHEDULE 3 WEEKS AFTER QUOTE APPROVAL. HAD TO CALL TO FIND OUT WHEN THEY PLANNED TO DO THE WORK. 2. NO SHOW ON DAY OF WORK. NO CALL ON THE DAY OF WORK. I HAD TO CALL A FEW DAYS AFTERWARD TO FIND OUT THAT THEY COULDN'T MAKE IT. I didn't negotiate Ringers down. I accepted the quote in good faith on their first proposal. The person who came out and provided the quote was courteous and professional. I was pretty excited about clearing the land of debris and overgrowth. I had to call to find out when they were going to arrive 3 weeks after quote approval. They advised me that they would conduct the clearing and grubbing work in my yard on Veteran's Day. I'm a Veteran (disabled). They never showed or called to inform me of any re-schedule. I cancelled the order and requested a full refund. Refund received.

Brian came out and I explained the problem and he came out and would talk to Eric the result was the problem corrected. The 3 people they sent out were very cordial and made everthing right.I will use Ringers for my next landscaping project

They have been an A+ provider to work with. Within 15 minutes I had an estimate. I have never worked with such a great company where work has been done so well. They are on top of everything and have great communication and remind me when they're coming out. I've been here 30 years and my lawn has never even looked half as good.

They do a decent job mowing and a great job cleaning up. They mow a little to high for my taste but our grass seems to grow fast. They are the most expensive service we have seen but they are local which we try to support.

I like to be home when someone will work in my house and they accommodate my request which is very important.

Ringers was affordable, quick, and knowledgeable. Grass did not grow in some areas and a month after I notified Ringers of the issue they were back to make it right.

They're really good people, really good guys. They're a really good company. Pretty honest, pretty thorough, pretty good.

Great price. On-time, professional, responsive. Our grass isn't fluorescent green like some neighbors' lawns who use the typical chemical guys, but I'm OK with that. Very very few weeds. Terrific service.

My trees look great now.  The boulders and decorative rock blend in nicely as so the pavers which I wanted to help eliminate having to get the weed whacker out every week.  Now I can drive my riding mower along the pavers and I won't have all that scraggily grass that the mower misses!  Three men did this work and they did an amazing job.  I'm especially impressed with how well they cleaned up before leaving.  There wasn't a bit of evidence that they had been there.......other then the lovely job they did surrounding my trees.  Erik is a good businessman, delivers what he promises and does it in a timely manner.  It was a very good experience.  The next time I need landscaping work, I will definitely be calling Ringers.

Erik, Megan, and the Ringer's crew did a great job improving the curb appeal of our home and creating a sanctuary of nature. Megan was very attentive and the design she brought forward truly reflected the colors/plantings that I like and the amount of maintenance I want to perform. The installation was in four phases over a period of two years and I am really happy with the results. I was thrilled to find that a Ringers staff member (Pete) followed up throughout the growing season to see how plants are doing and reports back any problem areas that need attention or replacement.
The entire Ringers staff has always been very professional, on time, cleaned up before leaving, and very friendly to work with. Our house looks great and I happily hand their business card to anyone who asks.

It was a little expensive but they were reliable and they did a good job. I like their professionalism. I get billed once a month. The bill was emailed to me and it was very detailed about what they were charging. They know what they are doing.

It went Great ! With the bad winter Chicago had, most if not all of the landscaping companies were non=responsive to calls. Once i got signed up on Angies list, I contacted 7 other firms. Ringers was 2 of the seven that actually called of the 7. I talked to the pleasant girl on the phone and explained to her what i needed done. She initially said 6 weeks out, however she would talk with someone and call me back. In about an hr, she called back and said Larry their commercial rep was coming on Sat June 12th to look at it. By the next week I not only had a proposal for the work and agreed to it, that their tree crew lead by Hunter came out an in about 3hrs had taken 12 trees down and clean up the yard. The following tues they started on the yard work and were finished that week. They did everything they quoted and more as I had lost another tree over the weekend from when the tree crew came out and the yard crew, but they took it down for me and moved on with what they all had to do. All their guys were professional and courteous, and they cleaned up well after the project. I would highly suggest anyone needing landscaping work to use this company. Larry their lead person whom I dealt with was prompt, called before he came, called me during the project, showed up onsite during the project and came by and walked the project afterwards. In my opinion that spoke highly of Ringers commitment to customer service and professionalism.

Meagan and Erik were great to work with. They came out for an initial assessment of our yard and really listened to our ideas about the landscaping. A week later Meagan came back with a beautiful plan for our entire yard. We couldn't do everything they proposed which including landscaping all around our house and hardscape in the back, so we settled on the front and sides for this year. We live in new construction and decided to let the ground settle before installing the patio.
I wanted a very natural look and that is just what Meagan delivered. I have a wide variety of plants in my yard that will provide color all summer long. I'm very excited about how unique and beautiful it is. The plan was very innovative and not your standard spirea/barberry with a birch in the corner look.
The team who did the install was very professional and neat. We added a few things on site (like pop up drains all around the house) and they were very accommodating.
Their horticultural specialist will also come to our house every month for the season to check on the plants. They even gave us a detailed care and watering guide specific to every plant variety in our yard.
I am so happy with the process and results. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone.

I had called several landscaping companies to get an estimate on some landscaping.

Some companies said they "don't do clean-up". 3 made appointments and never showed up. After calling them again 2 did come but were late for those appointments too! I did not think I could trust a company with poor work ethics. A friend of mine told me to call Ringers who had done work for her and she was pleased.
I called and was given an appointment for the next day. Their price was good especially for the work they would do, but more importantly I felt I could trust this company.
We scheduled the work the following week. All the employees worked very hard, were pleasant to talk to and they did a great job. They even straighten a newly planted tree from a nursery that had been planted.
I also learned they have a maintenance program for weeding so next spring I am having them come and take care of my lawn. It is suppose to be safe for children and animals. Many of my neighbors have complimented us on our yard. It was a good decision to go with Ringers.

I am hoping to sell my house in the Spring, and my landscaping needed help. I contacted Ringers on a recommendation from the contractor who did interior remodeling in my home. Megan, a designer from Ringers, came to interview me: looking at how my house was situated, what I thought I wanted and what my budget was for the makeover. She also diagnosed the repairs needed to my paver patio. She came back with a plan and an estimate, and explained everything she was suggesting and offered alternatives to work with my budget. I gave the OK and we set the date for installation. On installation day, Ringers workers arrived right on time, with Megan there the entire time to oversee and to tweak her design as needed (after consulting with me) once planting began.
They were a pleasure to work with - took good care of my property and the end result looks great (the neighbors approved, too!). Ringers is providing follow-up visits to make sure the plants are settling in well, and offer a 1-year warranty on their plants. Based on my interactions with them so far, I have every confidence that they will follow through!

Megan and Erik and Ringer's Landscape were a delight to work with from the start. Megan (the designer) made several trips to our house to discuss our desires and priorities, and then created a complete landscape design prior to us ever committing to the job, so that we could see what we were truly buying. None of the other landscape designers we interviewed were willing to do this. Megan's designs were incredible...creative, surprising in number, texture and types of plants, it incorporated everything that was non-negotiable to us (we knew we wanted a retaining wall and a stone path alongside the house), but employed all of her creativity on places where we were more flexible and needed her expertise (plant and tree choices and layout). Her design not only included a detailed landscape drawing (top elevation), but pictures of every plant she envisioned using, so we could truly see the vision she was creating.
When the total design was a bit beyond our price range, she showed her wonderful flexibility by readjusting the design to incorporate some of our existing established plants to bring the price down, without compromising the beauty of the design.
When time came to implement, Erik (the owner) led the process directly. Several times, he and Megan stopped by to show us stone samples and ensure that we were happy with every choice. Erik's crew was amazing. Very professional, respectful, and I was blown away by how much they were able to accomplish so quickly. They had an incredible eye for details, and took great care of our property while performing their transformation of our landscape. At all times, Erik was communicative, and easily accessible...a real pro. Whenever I had questions or concerns or comments, he was always available to me via cell phone and always returned my calls, usually within the hour. He and Megan were regularly on site during the project, guiding their team in a hands-on way, directing the final result.
Once, when there was a delay on a stone order, Erik insisted on delaying the install of the wall by two weeks, rather than risking that the two batches of stone might not match, which I so appreciated. Ringers cares about the finished result, not about taking shortcuts, knowing that you're going to be living with the results for a LONG time. It was so clear to me throughout that Megan and Erik truly are putting their hearts and souls into this business...it's not just a job to them. They truly care about the finished result and take great pride in their work.
The result is utterly fantastic. I can't believe it's my house. It's a complete transformation. Strangers walking by stop and tell us how amazing our house looks. The mail-person every day comments that our house is the most beautiful one on her route now..and what a pleasure it was to watch it transform. The hardscape in incredible, the plants are truly magnificent, put together with an artist's eye and designed in mind for how they'll look years from now. I can't wait to see the plants and trees grow and watch our landscape blossom around us for years to come.
Ringer's is the best contractor decision I've ever made, and we've worked with many. Megan, Erik and their team are real pros. I confess...at first I was a little concerned by how young they are...late 20s. I worried that maybe they would lack the experience to truly deliver the results I wanted. I'm so glad I didn't let myself be swayed by that. They brought a level of skill I would expect from someone twice their age, and a level of passion that sometimes only younger professionals can. I'm so glad I hired Ringers.
Our back yard is next...some work we weren't able to afford this time around. You better believe that Ringer's will be doing the project when the time comes.

From the beginning of the experience I was very impressed. They came out and looked at my property and listened to my ideas and then a couple days later, they came back with 3D renderings of a few different layouts as well as a rendering of what the plants would look like. I was pretty much sold at this point because I could really see how nice it would look once it was done.
I also received a quote from a concrete company to put in a concrete patio and retention wall with no pavers. Their quote was over a thousand dollars more. At that point, I realized how good of a deal i was getting because pavers look nicer than a standard non-stamped concrete slab, and plants were included!
Fast forward to installation day, they started by excavating up to 2-3 feet of soil in some places because my back yard is hilly. Then they put down a layer of gravel and compacted it followed by a compacted layer of sand. These two layers were probably a foot or a foot and a half deep. But I didn't measure, so don't quote me on that. They used quite a bit of material to ensure a stable base.
They threw in a bunch of extras such as rounded caps on our retention wall and a decorative charcoal colored paver border for no extra cost, which was very nice. when all was said and done, they actually did more work than was originally quoted for various reasons and they did not charge me, such as adding topsoil around the patio and re-seeding the grass or adding extra plants to fill in some spare space.
I really appreciated the fact that they kept me in the loop the whole time and let me know if there was going to be a delay due to weather. They told me a day or two before they were going to come out. So I was always prepared.
The patio took about 5 days to fully install including adding plants and leveling off the areas where they planted to prevent erosion due to water runoff.
After it was done, I tried to find something that looked like they may have cut a corener, and I really couldn't find a single thing. This is the first time I have hired a contractor and didn't find something. And like I said, they also threw in a bunch of freebies that weren't originally quoted. They wanted the finished product to be something that they were proud of, and I could tell.
I would definitely recommend this company to anyone and I have no doubt that anybody that uses Ringers will be completely satisfied!
