"While servicing we noted that that they tend to neglect the proper servicing of the equipment. We were shown a service ticket from last year indicating that they needed more refrigerant (5#) last year. That invoice stated that the equipment needed proper servicing. This servicing/maintenance was obviously not done. After seeing the previous invoice & needing to charge the system again, we Told Mrs [removed member name] our leak detecting tool had failed the day before, and we could return to search for the leak and recommend proper repairs a few days later (No charge for the leak search) Our service to the customer is to honestly make the immediate repair, but also inform home owners of needed repairs and possible improvements to their equipment. In this instance, they have a refrigerant leak in the system. If it is not repaired, someone will need to return next year and charge them again. We also made other notes and recommendations to Mrs. [removed member name] concerning the furnaces and humidifiers. We are willing to speak to the customer and better inform him of the situation, if he would desire. Also there was 5 lbs.of refrigerant injected in 2014, and we installed 3 lbs. this year, not 2 lbs."
