Trimaine Snow Plowing & Landscaping

I'm not sure if this is a real business or just a scam. We signed a contract with Trimaine for the 2016/2017 snow removal season. Based on how unreliable and unresponsive they are, we are very lucky it has hardly snowed this winter. There have so far been three instances where our snow should have been cleared per our agreement (snow of over 2 inches) and the crew has only come out for one of them. Our contract states that our snow should be cleared by 7am. We had a very average (by Chicago standards) snowstorm last night of maybe 5-6 inches and no snow has been cleared by mid afternoon. There have been no answers to my phone calls and emails seeking explanation, though on calling back a second time I did note the company's voicemail box was full so it appears maybe they are flaking on more people than just me. Fortunately for Trimaine and unfortunately for us, I have paid in advance for the season and now I also get to clear my own snow as well. If you're hiring a snow removal service you're trying to make your life easier, not harder. Who wants to deal with this? Don't put yourself in this position. Learn from my mistake and avoid this business.

They never delivered a contract. I had a surgery scheduled and needed the snow cleared. I called them to come out, they told me they would send someone on Dec. 14,  and they never showed up. No one showed up the next day either. I spoke with him 4 different times, each promise that he made was never kept.

They did a great job on my back lawn.  They were reasonably priced and in fact the lowest amongst the 3 quotes that I got.  I pay them every quarter.  They did a prompt job.  They gave me the lowest quote and they’re also licensed and bonded.  They did a great job overall.  Their communication skills were great and they were professional too.  I just called them again to do my front yard, tree cutting and also some concrete work on the side of the house.
