They are always super responsive, personable, and do a great and thorough job. I have had more than a few situations in which I needed work done immediately, and they got it done including replacing a water heater within a day of asking them to to get it done before an event. and rodding our sewer. We have been loyal customers of them before they became Franzen and were Theisse until we sold our home in River Forest. I would recommend them to everyone. By the way, we are no relation,

Pat was over an hour late. Thiesse did not call to let me know Pat was running late until about 20 min before he finally arrived. He was friendly and mostly professional (although, he became agitated when he had to re-do after I noticed that it was leaking. He claimed he did not charge me for the 45 - 60 min it took him to re-do the joint, but he charged me for 16 min travel time to travel 1/2 mile with no traffic.

Very well. Office staff a little vague about co-ordinating with our carpenter (replaced bathroom floor), but installation went smoothly, and work product was very good. (Have used in past; very smart plumber figured out how to get our 100+year old set tub drains functioning properly. Other plumbing companies had no solution other than throw out the antique set tubs (which we wanted to keep.)

Excellent response and service.  Thiesse returned my call promptly and scheduled my appointment the same morning.  The technician was excellent--on time, personable, professional, efficient.  After the repair was done, he checked the faucet carefully from the connections under the sink to the entire faucet itself.  The job took one hour; cost was $130.00.  I will definitely be using Thiesse in the future for my plumbing needs.  Special thanks to Patrick, the technician who did the repair.

I discovered Thiesse in 2008 after I was getting a sewer backup at my residence at that time. I hired Roto Rooter to rod my sewer. The Man doing it could go no farther than the parkway and told me that I had broken tiles, and that I needed to have my yard dug up and replace them at an extremely high cost.  The area that the rodding ended at was close to an area that the Village had recently dug up for Utility purposes, so I thought that they had damaged my tiles. I contacted the village and they sent out Thiesse to do the same rodding and scope the area. Thiesse was able to get through the area that Roto Rooter couldn't, and their scope indicated that there was no tile damage. They even showed me the scopage. I did not have any problems after that. They saved me over ten thousand dollars that I would have paid to have my tiles replaced.
I have used them for all of my plumbing since.  I live at a different residence and use them to rod our sewer approximately every other year. We have had no back ups while many of my neighbors have in these last few years of high rains. I have also used them for other random jobs.  The Owner, I wish I could remember her Name, as she always remembers me, actually shows up frequently when there is a problem.
The last time I used them was in the winter at exactly closing time, on the night before Thanksgiving. Our the toilets in the entire house wouldn't flush. I called and they came out and worked on the blockage after hours and were pleasant and cheerful and the owner showed up also. 
They are alway accountable, responsive, and provide competent and honest service that I find is pervasively lacking in most of the service and construction industry today.

Every time we have had them out to make a repair, they've done a very good job. They are very neat. They clean up after themselves. They are very friendly. I just feel very confident when they come. They just don't seem out of line for me in terms of pricing although we haven't had other plumbers for a while. You know exactly when they're coming and they call right before they get here.

Thiesse now operating as Old Towne Plumbing, but still the same great, fast service as always.  Even before they came out, they gave us great advice on selecting items and saving money.  Super nice, professional plumber (Owen); fast appointment; fantastic job.  Highly recommended.

After a less than satisfactory experience with another sewer rodding a month earlier, I contacted Thiesse.  On Tues, Feb 14, Amy Thiesse (owner) and Owen came out and assessed my situation since I possibly had a major blockage with collapsed tile.  An estimate was provided in the event I might need to dig up a part of the sewer line in front of the house.   On Thurs, Feb 16, I had them return and do a video inspection of the line and a rodding from the cleanout at the back of the house all the way to the street, probably at least 110 feet.   The video provided good visuals of the condition of the tile (no crushed tiles) with several places where roots were growing in.  The rodding (4" blade) was successful in clearing the tile to the street.  A follow-up video inspection confirmed the improved flow.   It was a great relief to know that we did not need to dig up the front yard and repair tile beneath a sidewalk!   Also, Amy was able to pinpoint the approximate location of the sewer line for future reference.  

Owen and Amy were very professional, prompt in their response, arrived when promised and they had appropriate equipment for the job.  I would definitely call them in the future for any sewer line (or other plumbing) work.

The cost was probably in line with other estimates since they did 2 video checks and one power rodding.  They recommended that I have the line rodded at least once a year.   They also suggested I use a product like Root Kill periodically to slow the growth of roots in the tile line.  

One thing I did forget was to ask about their "Senior Discount" which is mentioned in the Angie's List info.  I should qualify for that in the future.

I've hired them too many times to go into detail, but they answer the phone promptly, remember who I am (by now), and get people here quickly, and the plumbers are all friendly, professional, and skilled.

At least three plumbers have done work for us, and all were capable and professional. We have used them for routine and major services over the years, including replacing kitchen waste pipes, replacing our garbage disposal, and rodding sinks and tubs, and have been very satisfied.

Great company, came out to bid on stuff that other firms laughed at & has done excellent work. Owen showed up on time, worked smart, even my children liked him. I would not hesitate to use them again, or recommend them.

It went well.  It took a long time for him to get the access to open up, but once he got it opened up it went smoothly.  It was a messy situation.
