We are really happy with our new composite deck. The crew was wonderful to work with - they were thoughtful to try to minimize disruptions to our daily life while construction was in progress, and cleaned up well after they finished. Nelson was also very professional and responsive to any questions or concerns that came up. We will be using Sonin again for our next house project, and have already recommended them to our neighbors.

I am very happy with Sonin Construction. I hired them to rebuild my existing deck and steps. They did not just rebuild it, they made it better than ever before, with care and attention to detail. Both Nelson and the workers obviously take pride in their work. It looks beautiful. In addition, Nelson was very responsive to me and was also communicated with me about unexpected issues that arose.

Everything turned out great! Our kitchen and bathrooms are gorgeous. We get compliments on them whenever people come over. My wife and I are super happy with the results and will use Sonin Construction again for our master bathroom. Highly recommend!

This went wonderfully. Sonin construction is fast and do a good job. They made the process easy. I was concerned at first because their contract was longer than others and I've been burned by people before, but I don't have a single bad thing to say about them. I wish I had more decks that needed to be done so I could hire them again.

Was extremely happy with Nelson and his crew at Sonin Construction and would definitely recommend them. I had three other estimates and although his was not the lowest, Nelson was the only one who took the initiative and reached out to our village to make sure what we wanted was doable before proceeding. The best part of all is that our old porch had a roof that was supported by three posts and we were resigned to having that third post in the middle of our extended porch, but Nelson and his crew were able to determine that the middle post was not needed which ended up creating an open unrestricted space. None of the other contractors even suggested that option was possible.

No plans or drawings provided. No project manager ever on site besides the first few minutes when the dumpster trailer was dropped off. Mitered corners already pulling apart. Parts of deck not bull nosed where they were supposed to be. The gas line to our grill that they moved formed a leak immediately after which required a late night emergency visit from nicor. No final punch list ever provided. The electrician initially wired it wrong and left a mess everywhere. Pavers taken out during construction never put back. The whole experience was not great.

It went Amazing.....my house needed a facelift I had a porch that was falling apart. I found Sonin construction and was called back within minutes. My experience with them was flawless, I am skeptical of people nowadays but I couldn’t be happier my new porch looks amazing they did exactly what I wanted . Totally recommend Sonin Construction. I don’t usually write reviews but people should know!!

Can not say enough about Nelson and his amazing crew! They created a small kids room for us in a matter of days! They showed up every day on time and never left a mess. Beautiful work and even custom matched our 100 year old trim. The room looks like it was always there. Sonin gets a 5 ? rating from me.
