Very well. The rep gave me a thorough explanation of what would be done, what materials would be used, what foreseeable variables would add to the cost. The work was delayed by rain, but was completed within the timeframe discussed. It looks great!

I called in the morning and the job was completed that day. Excellent service.

It went terribly! The job was supposed to take three days and lasted two weeks. The leak STILL isn't fixed and the provider has refused to fix his work. We even reported him to the Illinois Attorney General's office for consumer fraud, and he didn't respond to them either. We will have to start from scratch, with another provider, to fix his work.

It went great, a little difficult to schedule at first but many people I'm sure were trying to get the work done since it was staying so warm.

On time and thorough.

Everything went well. Left over materials were left in case future repairs were necessary. Everything was clean after the job.

They fully informed me of whatthe job would entail, which enabled me to make good decisions and fell in control of the process.

I had contacted numerous other roofers with no response or questionable knowledge and quotes. Eck roofing came out , explained the problem, the cost, and took care of repair. They even repaired a small area near the chimney at no extra cost.

I requested an estimate and they came while I was out of town and completed the work.

A new glass block window in my bathroom. On Dec 22, Steve came out to measure and wrote up a contract. When speaking to him, I SPECIFICALLY asked for a large window vent in the window.I even showed him with my hands that I do not want a vent that is 6-8 inches high. I also mentioned that I do not want with two same vents. I was very specific that I wanted one that is 15-20 inches, I showed this with my hands. The window was completed quite rapidly. On WEdnesday I received a call to say the window was completed. It was delivered Thursday, Dec 23. After they took out the window and were ready to place the new window in, I noticed that the vent was the small one-6-8 inched high. I questioned this and was told that this is the bigger one...that the small vent is half that size. I don' believe this. Moreover, that is not what I had ordered.Steve proceeded to tell me that to replace the small vent with a larger one is not possible; that this was a window made to order and that basically I was stuck paying for it. I told Steve to place the old window back. I had another gentleman at the house for the plumbing and got distracted. I had to leave the house and go next door to my other's house. Upon returning to the house which was having the window installed I found that Steve took advantage of this; He installed the glass block window, even though I told him not to. SO this is where I am...I have a glass block window with a vent that I DID NOt want. Steve can not say he did not know where I went. because he knew I was going to my mother's house. He is fully aware that I stay with my mother next door, we not only talked about this when he came out for the estimate, we also went inside the house for me to give him a $100.00 deposit. Steve never came over to inform me of what he did.....he and the two men he had with him to do the installation were gone

The intital contact/sales person was very thorough - provided pictures of areas to be repaired and saw the projects through to completion.

Corrected the problem and cleaned up the site afterward.

After a terrible experience with another fireplace and chimney outfit that took my money but did no work, I requested proposals from several other companies specializing in chimney repair. R Eck and Son provided a prompt and professional proposal, that was also the lowest cost; and, they only requested a 25% deposit with the balance due on completion. The work was done in a timely manner, at the price agreed to. From the beginning, all of my contact with them has been cordial, attentive, and professional. My new chimney now stands proud and straight, and matches the rest of my 80+ year old bungalow perfectly.

They seemed to know what they were doing. They were very neat and cleaned up well after they were done. It was terrible weather when they were there, but they stuck it out and finished the job. The only problem was the intial estimate. They were not good about getting back to me on the cost. They are not very responsive at first, but if you stick on them then they are very good.

This company did a fairly decent job. They had to come back and repair some minor things. The supervisor did a walk around before the work began. They did a satisfactory job of cleaning up.

They were wonderful to deal with! They used great products for my roof and, from what I can tell, will not fade. They are a fine company to work with and they are already working for other friends of mine based on my referral. They cleaned up wonderfully and we very polite in my home.

STEVE WAS HONEST AND INFORMATIVE. HE COMPREHENSIVELY EXPLAINED POTENTIAL PROBLEMS AND THE REASONING BEHIND HIS ESTIMATES. HE PERSEVERED IN TRYING TO SOLVE PROBLEMS, MADE NO PROMISES HE COULDN'T KEEP, AND CAME PROMPTLY WHEN A NEW LEAK WAS CAUSING A GREAT DEAL OF DAMAGE TO THE INSIDE OF MY HOME. PREVIOUSLY, I HAD SPENT THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS WITH OTHER TUCKPOINTERS AND ROOFERS WHO HADN'T SOLVED THE PROBLEM. THIS COMPANY FINALLY DID. ON THE DOWN SIDE, SOMETIMES STEVE DIDN'T CALL ME BACK, SEND BILLS OR ESTIMATES IN A TIMELY MANNER, OR TRACK PAPERWORK EFFICIENTLY, BUT A REMINDER CALL FROM ME WAS USUALLY ENOUGH TO TAKE CARE OF SUCH ADMINISTRATIVE ISSUES.
