We first used Kinetic Energy to check the wiring in our 1890's house in 2016. They spent several weeks here checking each and every outlet, light fixture and switchplate fixing anything needed, and rewiring our light fixtures on an as needed basis. They are now our "in house" electricians, and have since done a bathroom renovation, a kitchen & family renovation, outdoor wiring, and anything else we need. They are always prompt, pleasant, professional, knowledgeable, and respectful of our time and budget, giving us options and choices whenever possible. They have our highest recommendation, and I will definitely use them again.

Excellent. 1. Bad breaker was cause of garage outage. 2. They checked all potential sources of the problem and eventually found that an outdoor spot light had been wired incorrectly and was directly touching metal, essentially electrifying the entire garage. Will definitely work with them again.

We've used Kinetic Energy for some small jobs and liked them very much. Just recently we hired them to (1) to remove an existing dual bulb motion sensor floodlight and then, in it's place, set up a Ring-brand motion sensor with a camera and floodlights on the alley side of our garage, and (2) install a Ring-brand doorbell camera/motion sensor on our front door. The work included making sure both units were connected to our WiFi and working properly. We got an estimate for the work weeks before we could get on the schedule. Today we got the invoice for the completed work, and it was exactly the same amount as the estimate. The installer Steve was very friendly, efficient, explained well what he was doing and didn't leave so much as a speck of dust when he was done. This is an Oak Park business, owned by Oak Park residents. SHOP LOCAL!

A job well done. The fan install didn't require any drywall cutting, so no patchwork had to be done and minimal dust generated. The crew quickly figured out the ceiling fan wiring problem. The tech who installed the conduit placed the fixture and outlet boxes exactly where I requested them to be. All who came into and worked in my home were very nice, treated my home with respect, cleaned up after the job was done, and didn't seem to mind me watching and asking questions along the way. Payment was a breeze online. Kinetic Energy is my go to for anything electrical from now on.

A housing re-inspection (conducted 13 years after the fact) revealed a punch list worth of electrical issues that needed addressing, sooner rather than later. Selected Kinetic Energy because of their ratings across multiple online platforms, as well as the fact that they are a local business. They certainly lived up to their ratings. When Carlos and James came out to complete the work, they spent about half an hour going over the punch list in detail to determine what was really essential instead of trying to sell us on a complete bill of goods, which was much appreciated. (How many contractors can you say THAT about?) Three-and-a-half hours later, the work was complete and we were very satisfied.

They were fantastic! I was very happy with their professionalism. I’m not sure how their price was … they were very responsive and knowledgeable.

The team did a great job, four guys worked for two full days to complete the work. They showed up on time and worked efficiently. The pricing was very reasonable for the labor required.

Everything went as smooth as possible,the whole job was done in approximately 60-70 minutes,and I was very happy with the way everything turned out. The owner was super friendly as was the technician. I needed the job done ASAP as I was moving,and they were more than willing to accommodate me. I'd use them again in a heartbeat.

I called them for an initial meeting and they come over check out the work site. They're very generous with his time and knowledgeable. I had a great visit and great talk with them. The guy that came out was very knowledgeable but then he won't return my calls or e-mails. They're not professional on getting back to people.

The lighting makes a HUGE difference in the basement. He paid close attention to the symmetry of the layout of lights in the ceiling. Good attention to detail.
I was pleased with his work and asked him to look around at anything else that would need immediate attention. I appreciated the fact that he saw some things that weren't huge red flags, but mentioned that we could take care of a few other minor things if we have him back for anything else. Put simply, he was not trying to up sell me to take advantage of me. It's was a good sign to me that he was a trustworthy contractor.
He also came back a few months later when I told him how hot the light switch dimmer was getting and switched it out for a larger dimmer with more capacity at no extra charge. So he stands by his work.
