He did a good job and I am happy with the service.

This is the third door Terry has installed for us: our front door and a basement exterior door and storm door. He also was able to look at our existing front storm door and helped me get a replacement handle, which he installed. Terry came to measure, advised us on our options, in two cases ordered the door himself, and installed the door, handle, and lock. We have an old house where nothing is stock size. If a door off the shelf would fit I might trust a good handyman to do it; since it's a custom job, I I feel confident in dealing with Terry that we will get the right door for the price and that it will fit and work properly.
If I have one little bone to pick, it is that Terry doesn't anticipate what the customer would like to know and tell them, such as calling when the door has been ordered and letting you know about how long it will take. Likewise I had to ask for a copy of the receipt to keep in case we need to use the warranty in future. But as far as knowing his craft and being easy to have working around your house, he has that knocked.

Terrance is very friendly and chatty. He responded quickly and came with in a few hours. The door was replaced about 2 days later. My tenant complained the door was not working, however it was due to the fact that the locks had frozen in extreme weather.He came back free of charge to make sure that was the issue. He took care of everything and was very professional. I will use him again.

He put in a new front door that connected two rooms. I am satisfied with the job that he did. Terry gave me an estimate that he came in under. I would use him again if I needed him.

GREAT QUALITY. TERRY HEMSTREET IS AN OLD SCHOOL CRAFTSMAN, BUT USES THE SOPHISTICATED JIGS FOR MORTISES, AND HINGE INSETS. HE'LL PROVIDE GOOD ADVICE ON HARDWARE.

DID GREAT WORK, REALLY LIKE THE CUSTOM DOOR & STAINED GLASS. HE WAS RESPONSIVE, MET HIS COMMITMENTS INCLUDING PUNCTUALITY. VERY PLEASED WITH THE RESULTS.

TERRY WAS VERY NICE ABOUT THE WHOLE PROCESS, HELPING US FIND A NICELY PRICED OAK DOOR, CHOOSING THE RIGHT COLOR... THE DOOR SLAB LOOKS GREAT. TERRY WAS NOT GOOD AT ALL AT KEEPING TO SCHEDULED DAYS (ONE WEEK LATE & TWO DAYS INSTEAD OF ONE), NOR AT INSTALLING THE TRIM. IF I WERE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE TO PUT A DOOR IN PLACE, THAT'S TERRY, BUT I WOULD NOT ASK HIM TO DO ANYTHING ELSE.

I CALLED SEVERAL LOCK COMPANIES, BUT FEW HAD MUCH EXPERIENCE WITH MORTISE LOCKS AND THEIR BIDS WERE QUITE HIGH. TERRY IS A SPECIALIST IN THIS AREA AND HIS PRICING WAS RELATIVELY REASONABLE. THE PROJECT WAS MORE WORK THAN I EXPECTED. IT INVOLVED A LOT OF EQUIPMENT, IT WAS KIND OF MESSY, AND THERE WASN'T A LOT OF ROOM TO WORK. TERRY HAD TO COME BACK A SECOND TIME TO FINISH UP. I WISH HE COULD HAVE BEEN A BIT MORE PROMPT AND CLEANED UP A BIT MORE, BUT I WAS PLEASED TO FIND SOMEONE WITH HIS RANGE OF EXPERTISE. HE CAN DO ANYTHING INVOLVING DOORS, SO I ALSO ASKED HIM TO INSTALL A PEEPHOLE, ADJUST A DOOR STOP, MAKE SURE HANDLES LOCKED PROPERLY ETC. I AM QUITE PLEASED WITH THE RESULTS. HINT: IF YOU BUY A SLAB DOOR, (NOT PREHUNG), ALWAYS MEASURE THE ACTUAL SLAB UPON RECEIPT! I ORDERED A 32 INCH SLAB, IT WAS LABELED 32 INCHES, BUT THE ACTUAL SLAB WAS 31 3/4 INCHES WIDE, A QUARTER INCH SMALLER THAN MY DOOR OPENING. THAT IS WHY TERRY HAD TO COME BACK A SECOND TIME TO ADJUST THE JAMB. ARGH.

GREAT SERVICE. GOOD(AND FREE) ESTIMATE PROCESS. NOT A LOT OF FOLKS DO THIS SERVICE. DID THE CUTTING AND FITTING ON SITE. VERY PLEASED WITH THE RESULTS. NICE GUY TOO!
