Davis Tree Care's crew arrived when they said the would. The bush was cut down and removed within 10 minutes.

12/30/2014 My neighbor is a tree lover, and has several trees - maple, pear, crab apple - lining my driveway. Over the years, this has caused me major problems with clogged gutters, animal attic intrusions, and roof damage. I called a couple of tree services for estimates. After reviewing the scope of work with Bob Davis, I accepted his bid and agreed on a date to start work. Davis has a great crew. They arrived on time, went right to work, and, using a lift, completed the job quickly and efficiently. After clean up, you'd never know they were there. I'd have no hesitation using Davis on any future work. Their professionalism is combined with a regard for the health and preservation of the tree.

Excellent. Prompt quote and answers to questions via email and phone. Their quote was 8% less than two others. Scheduled the day that worked for me about a week in advance. Arborist Tim answered all kinds of questions, checked in crew throughout the day. Good clean up, although I never expected that much mulch out of a tree stump. Will have them back when the other elm dies.

Good. I asked to keep the larger pieces for firewood. That didn't happen. (They started when I wasn't home). The guy waiting for my check didn't speak much English at all. My main concern was a large branch over the back of my home. They said they couldn't trim that one without taking the entire branch off. Lesson learned : be present while work is being done.

Excellent. Initial quote was for tree removal only. The crew added the trim on our large front yard gingko on the spot for a reasonable charge.

Incredibly well. About 6 large equipment trucks and a crew of 8 arrived at noon and completed all of the work by 4 pm. Their equipment state of the art and their skilled workers were highly professional. When they left they had cleaned up my property to where you could almost not know they were there. A great job.

Individual T was super responsive. He was easy to communicate with via text and patient due to some scheduling difficulties with our neighbor.

Went great. Got my estimate last summer, had them do the work a couple of weeks ago and they honored their original price. Tree looks great and I trust it will fill back out as the spring and summer progresses.

Tim, was very responsive with e-mail and phone calls, providing great communication as we waited for the weather to clear so that the trees could be removed and the grinding to occur. Great guy! Very understanding of my concerns. I would highly recommend them!

Seeking a certified arborist to provide guidance on yard clearing and tree maintenance during late September/early October, I obtained a quote from another company that had advertised with Angie's List, but that company would only address tree care, not shrubs. Then I noticed a Davis Tree Care crew taking down a large village-owned elm along the parkway. Looking at their web site, I saw that they specialized in oak trees so I called. A day or two later, Tim walked the property with me, and he answered my questions. Within the day I had a quote for trimming two oaks (one a very large oak that hadn't been trimmed any time recently) and clearing out several overgrown and/or weed trees and shrubs. I approved the contract with the understanding that the work would take place after the first frost. As Thanksgiving approached, I considered calling to make sure my property was still on the Davis schedule. But Tim called me first. On the day before Thanksgiving he called to confirm whether mid-day on the following Monday would be okay. Yes. By the time I went to check on the progress around noon, the crew of four (with three large trucks) had nearly completed their work. Although two particular bushes had not been included in the contract, I wondered about getting them removed too. Just as I was starting to call Tim, he drove by to check on the crew. And although the stump grinder had already been returned to its trailer, one of the crew members sawed the bushes apart and removed the trunks with the remote-controlled grinding machine while I watched. It was impressive, the fact that such equipment exists and the fact that the crew members graciously did what I asked, in cold rain.

I hired Davis Tree Care to remove a large oak tree (4 ft dia x 60 ft tall) next to and over my house that died. I got 3 quotes and found them to be the most competitive and responsive. They removed the tree and stump in about 5 hours- really fast. Their crew of ~ 6 was very experienced, professional, and well equipped. They used a bucket truck/ crane combo for removal, a small crane to feed the tree pieces into either a chipper or a dump truck for wood salvage (pallets, firewood, etc), and a motorized wood chipper for stump removal. They laid pads on the lawn to prevent grass damage from the bucket truck that was driven up. I was very pleased with the work they did, also considering many large pieces had to be removed over my house with a slate roof. Tree and stump removal went really smooth, and they left with everything well cleaned up. The job was done professionally and safely. Highly recommended and would use them again.

Davis tree trimming was very quick to get back to me with a quote. After the quote was accepted they warned me they were running a few weeks out for the tree trimming, which was fine from my perspective. They they called to provide the window when they would be arriving, they gave the day and the approximate hour. They were on time, a little early even, and did the work quickly and efficiently. The tree no longer hangs over the house and doesn't have any dead branches hanging off it. Overall, I'm very satisfied with their work.

I highly recommend this company!  We had a number of troublesome volunteer trees growing up into our power lines as well as some very large trees with lots of dead branches.  The trees were in a very difficult to reach spot.  Tim from Sterling/Davis was just terrific, not only was he responsive, he even ran interference for us with our neighbor to get them to allow access to their parking lot to get the trees out.  The work was scheduled and completed without a hitch.  The price was very reasonable.  A+++++.

Sterling provided an estimate within a couple of days of my email request (via their website) for a quote. Because this was a smaller job, I was very happy that they were able to complete the work within just a few days after I accepted their proposal. The crew arrived on time, was courteous, and did a great job of trimming and cleaning up. All branches and debris were removed from the property. I'm very pleased with the pricing and the results. I would not hesitate to recommend Sterling to others and would definitely hire them again.

Everything went great, except a slight hiccup when approving the invoice. Otherwise, everyone was very professional and prompt. When coming out to provide an estimate Time was extremely knowledgeable and very willing to telling me about other trees we had on our property.

They came out within a few days of our initial contact to provide an estimate.  Their representative was quick to make adjustments to the estimate when I changed the scope of the work needed.  They originally said they would be out to complete the job in 1 to 2 weeks.  I was surprised when they called three days later to say they were coming the next day.  The work was completed on time and as described.  When they were done there was virtually no evidence the trees were ever there.  The price was competitive with the other estimates I had received.  I would certainly call Davis Tree Service in the future if the need arose.
